I have had ASPCA insurance since 2019…

I have had ASPCA insurance since 2019 with my first dog and 2 dogs since 2020. Both insured as puppies. Neither have chronic medical conditions. I filed 2 claims. 1 ear infection and a skin condition. Since 2024 my cost for both went from $90 per month to $210. More than double. I was told this is due to age increase and increases can go from 4-26%. Well the math isn’t mathing. Beware that your rates will increase to a ridiculous amount despite your pets being healthy. I am insured 10k 90% reimbursement. I don’t even pay this much for my car insurance. It makes no sense.

Cannot Say Enough Good Things

Trupanion has been great since the moment we started with them! Their claims process is straightforward and reimbursement is a quick turnaround, their customer service is wonderful, and I can tell that they genuinely care about our pets. Insurance is something you hope you never need, but when you do, it can be a lifesaver...literally. One of our dogs had an ongoing autoimmune condition, and Trupanion made the difference between us struggling to make decisions and us being able to give our boy the best life possible. We lost him recently at the age of 13, but those years were filled with more happiness that we ever would have thought possible. Part of that reason is because Trupanion gave us the peace of mind that we needed to give him the best care. Our pets are family, and they should be treated as such. I can't imagine owning a pet without a safeguard, and I would definitely recommend Trupanion to anyone for that reason!

I was very skeptical about pet insurance

I was very skeptical about pet insurance because I had no prior experience with it. But when I received the approval and the money was deposited back into my account within two weeks, I was shocked — in a very positive way! I will definitely be recommending it to my friends.

I absolutely love Pets Best

I absolutely love Pets Best. I used to be a member of Healthy Paws, but I'm glad I made the switch. Sometimes my claims are handled fast, I think the longest I've waited was 20 days. My hope is that my premium stays reasonable and continues to protect my angel baby until the end.

I think it sucks that you have to wait…

I think it sucks that you have to wait 2 weeks before coverage can begin. In 11 years my pet has never needed a Vet and I was hoping to be able to help her if needed with this policy because financially we are very limited but given it doesnt go into effect for 2 weeks. We don’t have the funds to give her treatment for that long if needed. So I purchased the plan for nothing.

Multiple increases per year…

Instead of increasing annually like every other company, they will hit you with an increase whenever they feel like it multiple times in a year. Have only had our policy for our puppy for a few months and they have already increased it by $10 per month. If I had know this there is no way I would’ve gone with them

Vet visits are tolerable now!

I live in a tight budget, however when it comes to our dog’s wellbeing, we make sure he is taken care of. We were hit with all his vaccinations in Feb, so it was nice to receive money back to offset those expenses! Reimbursement was fast and convenient! Thanks again!

Would never recommend

Would never recommend. They dragged my pets review process for 4 months and then gave me a list of 16 pre-existing medical conditions which were ludicrous. Never filed a claim and cancelled and they refuse to refund me for the 4 months I paid. There's better options out there. THEIR RESPONSE BELOW shows how ridiculous they are, they did not even listen to my complaint. It's not about claims, it's that they dragged her approval process for 4 months while collecting her premium and then replying with 16 pre-existing conditions that are laughable. There are 3 actual pre-existing conditions. I told them to cancel my policy and refund all my money since they dragged it out this long. There are no claims and no money paid out. STAY AWAY THERE ARE BETTER COMPANIES OUT THERE
