Very expensive and does no honor claims
One of my dogs premium was nearly doubled in the first month I had coverage. The only claim I ever filed was denied on a technicality despite paying for the best plan available. I cancelled all three dogs immediately. I highly suggest you never use them.

Lisa is amazing!
We forgot to remove our puppy off of Trupanion coverage (about a year ago) and needed to change payment from a credit card to bank account. Lisa helped me out over the phone on how to change payment type. I asked her to not worry about reimbursing us and she gave us back pay for 60 days. Very considerate! Thank you for your professionalism and great service!

I could not be happier with Spot…
I could not be happier with Spot insurance. This is the first time we purchased pet insurance and we opted for the Gold plan and $500 deductible. Our 2 1/2 year old cat lost a large amount of weight and after a thorough workup, we had a diagnosis and plan for treatment. The meds alone were $600 for 6 weeks. We opted for aggressive care based on the age of the cat and hoping insurance would respond appropriately. I could not be happier! I started the claim the day my cat was discharged, we were waiting on two lab results before the vet released medical records. Within a day of getting the vet records,SPOT sent a claim notice paying 80% of the bill minus deductible and items such as postage there are not covered. I am amazed at their response!! This is better than my own health insurance and this is from a nurse's perspective. Thank you SPOT!!!! My cat is slowly improving and such a special little fellow to me.
