We shopped for insurance and selected your company and signed up. We cancelled our existing policy. Great. We are all set except we receive a letter a few weeks later stating we have to submit the dogs records before the policy is actually accepted. Our vet is several hours away. We now do not have insurance on our dog. Nice job!!!!

Seems like it takes forever to get your money back. I had hoped it would be quicker. Even the animal hospital told me that they take a long time to get the claims approved and to get your money back.

I purchased the full plan when we got…
I purchased the full plan when we got our puppy in January. I did this as our last pup that passed away after 16 years had incidents that really racked up her vet bills! Followed Spots suggestions of waiting 2 weeks for her insurance to establish before seeing the vet. Forward to her teeth extraction for puppy teeth and fracture teeth. I phoned Spot and spoke with the insurance processor to check on coverage for baby teeth extraction. I was clearly told YES, Spot covered this. The vet also found fractured teeth which was making her sick. Now I did not receive an email. I just found on my phone app with Spot, that the claim is denied! How can this be??? I’m reporting this to Better Business Beuro and California Insurance claims. I’m also going to visit every vet within my area to show this to perspective patrons looking for pet insurance for their pets!

I initially transferred over from another insurance company and it was a bit of extra work because I had to provide a lot of extra documentation. But now that my pet is established with them, they have been excellent and so easy to use. Their customer service is also wonderful.

Purchase of Medicine for Khloe
I went to the Vet clinic to purchase Khloe's medicine for her hips and the new system I. Trupanion did not let the clerk submit the request for payment form. The clerk called the Vet assist line and the person on the phone just stated there was nothing she could do to help. I then called the customer service line and the person stated the same thing Why have a customer service line if you cant help the customer. This medicine is recurrent and has been purchased before without issues. And now also Trupanion raised it's monthly premiums starting I. July bay almost $100. It is unreal with the way the economy is and they are raising the cost more. I am very disappointed in your service and new policy....

Buckeye was seriously ill
Buckeye was seriously ill, our vet was quite thorough. So there were several lab tests, and an over night in doggy CCU. As you can imagine the bill was also serious. Thank goodness for MetLife Pet Insurance. It took a couple back and forths to get all the paperwork to the right place. But once that was done the reimbursement hit my account, in plenty of time to pay the bill. Buckeye is well and I’m not broke. All is good!
