Two Key Factors
What made this experience great were two key factors: First, I was really pleasantly surprised by how much was reimbursed - it was honestly substantially more than I expected. The cost of the services reflects the skill, facilities, and level of care provided by this particular vet practice, and we needed the best emergency care possible. Two, it was great to have a live person available to speak with me. I had never filed a claim before, and the customer service person patiently guided me through the process. Even the front desk person at the 24 Hour Emergency Hospital spoke about how easy the process is with Pets Best. And now my dog is completely cured, and the illness was not the devastating financial disaster it would have been without Pets Best insurance. This is a great company!

app needs help for registering multiple pets
I set up both of my dogs for coverage, then went to the online app prompt as required. I completed the information for my puppy, and when I tried to also add the info for my other dog, it would not allow it. I tried to follow the "simple" instructions, but it took me back to the additional pet quote. I don't need a quote for a dog that you are already insuring@!@! And it is asking for me to call during work hours to complete this task. Sorry, I work during that time and cannot get to a phone to jump through another hoop.

Quick, Easy & Reasonably Priced
I love how easy it is to file a claim with Pets Best. You just upload a PDF of the itemized invoice and receipt to the website and they confirm receipt and immediately issue you a claim #. I don't think I have ever waited more than a week for a response/payment to be made directly into my bank account. If I did have any questions, when I called customer service, I actually spoke to a person and not a series of AI prompts and the best part is that this great service comes at a reasonable cost. I've had the insurance for two years now and the annual increases have been minimal. Hopefully they stay that way!
I like the claim process, but...
I like the claim process. It is straight forward and easy, with a quick return in my bank account. They are helpful over the phone. I took away 1 star, because more often than not, I have issues with the website. It will give me an error before starting a claim and sometimes in the middle of submitting a claim. This happens about 75% of the time. I called the number on the website, and they were unable to fix the problem (pretty much just wanted me to try a different browser), but emailed me a way to still submit the claim. I waited a few days and was able to use the online claim service. I don't know if there are website issues during high traffic times, but it is extremely frustrating.
