I'm so glad we have this insurance. My dog has had a few unexpected injuries and having the insurance has been a lifesaver for my wallet. The claims process in very simple and they pay quickly. I like that I am sent a detailed explanation with every claim too.

I wish health insurance for humans was this easy and affordable! The only thing that could be better is some improvement in the claim portal. I submitted everything, but I guess it didn't go thru a couple of times.

Thank you so much for your promptness in processing Zande's last claim. It was all settled before we left the vet's hospital. Such a relief to have pet insurance. Every pet owner should have insurance. Glad to say that he is on the mend and doing great. Thanks again.

don't bother switching if you have existing insurance.
Forget switching to Pets Best if you have any existing pet insurance and have made a claim. My dog every so often needs an injection $45 to get her through summer allergy months. Not always but they really help her. Because she'd had a prior injection on another policy - they denied the claim citing "existing condition" even though she has not been diagnosed with any 'condition'. I didn't even bother to dispute or waste my time dealing with them. I just cancelled immediately. On the plus side cancelling was easy and i received the refund of unused policy payment back quickly. If you have a new pet or insuring for first time - this company may well work for you. Based on my first and only experience with their claims dept - i cannot recommend.

Healthy Paws is awesome!
I rarely write reviews but Healthy Paws has exceeded my expectations in all regards. It is the the most amazing pet insurance, for that matter, any insurance that I have ever encountered. They are incredibly efficient, responsive, and caring. When was the last time your insurance company emailed to find out how you are feeling? Healthy Paws has reached out to me numerous times to find out how my dog is feeling. Their website is intuitive and easy to use. They follow up on claims very quickly, are very clear as to what they approve, and pay in a very timely manner. While my dog has had her share of medical issues they have not raised my premiums other than minimal increases. I really cannot rave enough about Healthy Paws. Together with my veterinarian, I consider Healthy Paws a partner in my dog’s overall care. Rikki Gross

Definitely recommend
I pay A LOT for my premium but I signed my dog up as a relatively healthy 10.5 year old and this was one of the only companies that still offered 90% reimbursement for a dog his age. I have filed 2 claims and the first one took a while but they covered everything and the second one was processed in a matter of hours. I LOVE that they pay exam fees. I have heard that premiums go up exponentially when it’s time to renew so I’m a little afraid of that, but that’s several months out so I’m going to enjoy them while I have them. Definitely gives me piece of mind.

incredibly easy to submit claims and receive payment
Unfortunately my Ruby had gastroenteritits requiring an emergency room visit and evaluation. I scanned the invoice into the app and received an explanation of payment and the check very quickly
