Very thorough and prompt!

Hurley was not eating or drinking. Was advised to take him to the emergency vet for X-rays. Filed my claim a day after he was released. Got my refund in a week. Very thorough and prompt!

The process is so EASY!!

The process is so EASY!! Your company allows me to focus on my sick pet, and not on the cost, and a million questions. My vet also set up the direct pay option, and I just pay my 10 at the time of each visit. My poor, sweet dog, needed surgery to remove several masses. The surgery was larger than anticipated, and harder for her to recover from. After one surgery, 1 ER visit, another vet visit and then yet another surgery, in a time span of 6 days, Trupanion impressed me! At one point, anticipating the last surgery, I sent in a pre- approval form, 1.5 days before the inevitable happened, and within 12 hours after submitting the form.... it was approved! I simply forwarded the approval letter to the vet, and after her surgery, I walked out only paying 10 of the bill, with my sweet dog wrapped in a blanket and on her way home to recoup. I don't have a lot of money, but this pet insurance is peace of mind, and allows me focus on the what s important..........Anna May s recovery.

Didn’t pay for Anything

We paid for insurance for over two years and they made excuses not to pay for any of our claims. We finally had to cancel when they increased our premiums once again without any benefit. My dog had to get xrays and medication, he got cancer one year after we got insurance and all our claims were continuously rejected.

I am so incredibly grateful.

Thank you so much for creating such an easy way to file a claim and track its progress, and thank you even more for for the easy reimbursement straight into my account. I won't complain about the processing time. The Christmas/New Years holiday and the sheer amount I claimed was probably mind-boggling. I cried all over again when I saw how much this insurance reimbursed me. One of Emo's vets assured me Nationwide would help and begged me to please let her keep trying to find what was causing her lungs to struggle. I'm so glad I believed in my cat and my vet. The vets were unable to prove either Pulmonary Embolism or Pneumonia... but today, she's running and playing again, fully recovered from a near-death experience (and probably minus a couple extra cat-lives). Most importantly, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for saving her life! :') P.S. I think her breed is spelled: Nebelung (The massive list of cat breeds is one of the coolest things about this site. It really makes it look like you care and know what you're talking about. Love it.)

Easy to file a claim

It was easy to file the claim. I was disappointed it was denied, but that was my fault for even filing it. Had I read the policy I would have noticed I was not at the two weeks needed to file a claim
