Claims take too long to process.
While I always appreciate being reimbursed for the expenses, it takes quite a while to received it. Most take 30 days or more. Would like to see it faster.

Great customer service
I love doing business with Nationwide. It's very easy to file a claim, and even easier to receive payment electronically. Having a Great Dane I knew it was important to have pet insurance. I've always been happy with the amount of my refunds, especially after TPLO (knee) surgery! And I really don't think the monthly cost is unreasonable. As long as I have a pet, I will have Nationwide insurance.

Takes a while but the important things are covered
I love using Nationwide Pet insurance because I have had some late night emergency vet experiences that cost an arm and a leg. My 20 lb dog likes to rough house with my 50 lb dog and things can get a little crazy. My little guy had a torn ligament in his shoulder and was limping for months and we decided to do laser therapy, which was covered by insurance and has so far helped immensely. My only complaint is the time it takes to get the insurance check. It takes about 2 months before you get it back.

Very fast claim processing and reasonable premium
I broke the tip of my dog's tail by closing the car door on it. The poor dog ended up having to amputate the end of her tail, wearing the e-collar and all that. The whole thing cost over $1k, so I filed a claim. My claim was processed and I got my check in a week, which is great. My dog is all healed, the tail looks okay, we are just waiting for her fur to grow back.

Nationwide Pet Insurance Coverage is excellent
Very responsive to inquiries and prompt in reviewing and processing the claim. It took over three weeks to process the claim because I did not provide all necessary information the first time.

Knowing Duke has this coverage makes us more pro-active parents.
We never had insurance for our previous pets and it became very expensive to get them the best medical care we could. Lesson learned! Our current fur baby has your WellnessPlan and it has been great. Any chance my husband and I could get it?!?!! And I really appreciate how easy it is to pay your premium and file a claim- your response time is wonderful .

Easy to put in claims
While i am disappointed that Nationwide cannot give preestimate of costs of coveted procedures, they do make it very easy to put in a claim and reimburse very quickly.
