Horrible Service not customer friendly
Not willing to take my monthly payments all on the same day. Offered to pay a month ahead if they would switch my payment dates to all on the same day instead of all over the place. They would rather cancel all my 10 cats than change the billing day. After calling around to multiple other companies we switched everyone to ASPCA insurance for 1/4 of the price.

Unexpected severe price hikes
I had insured my rottweiler mix for 4 years with Embrace, and never filed a claim. Each year, my premium went up by 12-17%, which is expected. The 5th year, my premium went up by 35%! I was on an auto renewal plan. I looked on their website, which listed an email address to contact with complaints. I emailed that address 3 days before my auto-renew. I didn't hear anything back. They withdrew the annual premium from my bank account. When I called several days later after seeing the withdrawal from my bank account, they told me they had no idea what email address I was talking about; I had to tell them where it was listed on their own website. They said they never got my email. They did refund my premium when I said I was cancelling. They said that the price hike was because of my dog getting older, and that they'd adjusted their prices due to market changes. But 35% is crazy! My policy went from six hundred and change per year to nine hundred dollars per year in one jump. If you use them, look very carefully at your bills.

Excellent response time
This was the first claim and the response time on the payment was excellent. Usually it's a month to a month and a half and having to wait is very difficult when the credit card company wants their money, so thanks for that.

Amazed how easy it was
We are amazed how easy it was to file a claim. You are our angels, we should have done this with our five other dogs we have had in our past years. The staff we talked to in order to get our fur baby on board were awesome. We are so happy we have Matea in good hands and look forward to many more healthy years together.
