aT FIRST i LOKED THE INSURANCE , BUT i WASNT TOLD IT GOES UP EVERY YEAR,BY ALOT.

The claim was fine it was check up a yearly visit. However I am disappointed in the nationwide credit card that I took out. It was sold to merrick. Now they took the vet benefit away. it was 6 months no interest. That was a great benefit for paying the insurance and claims

Claims submission super easy

I have received a lot of help from Nationwide with any issues that arise. I had a complication involving my payroll deduction to pay my insurance, which never got resolved but the Nationwide agent assisted me in moving to another form of payment. The claims process is extremely easy through the app. Love this feature!

Thankful for quick reimbursement!

I recently submitted a large bill for my dog that just had surgery and expensive out of pocket charges. I'm grateful for the quick reimbursement payment from Nationwide so I can pay my credit card before it's due. I've been with them for over 12 years and recommend to anyone looking at pet insurance.

Your deductible is really higher than what you think you're getting

I used Pets Best in the past for another dog. Back then, it was a fraction of what I'm paying now (less than 25% of what I'm paying for a young Labrador. This was a senior great Dane who should have been much more expensive). Maybe, the more something costs, the more you expect out of the service. My two most recent claims were my first with this young dog and I knew that they would go toward the deductible. What I didn't know (and what the company did not do in the past) was take a "co-insurance" out of my deductible. In other words, instead of, for example, putting my $100 vet bill toward my $500 deductible, they only put $80, since I selected an 80/20 plan. I've never in my life seen this done before. So, my $500 deductible is really a $600 deductible. It's dishonest, and I have no idea if this is even legal. We have my other dog on Hartsville. I may switch.
