Metlife app and website...
I tend to use the metlife app for almost everything. Overall the app and website have improved over the last year, but still have some hard points. When I submit a claim, I can now get a little visibility into the status, but not a lot. I have recently submitted an appeal and that just disappeared from my app. When I contacted customer service, they told me that it is automatically completed, but the customer gets no visibility into the process. It can also take approx. 45 days. I think the app should have a small box to check if the claim is for a previously approved condition, or new. Also there should be a small box that allows comments so we can additional pertinent information.

Experience hasn’t been good at all
Getting them to pay claims is horrible. Even with the medical records sent several times they still send email(s) saying they don’t have them and it’s taking several months to get claims Even though the invoices, medical records were sent in within a week of the services being rendered.

Nationwide is the worst!
I cannot stress enough how absolutely frustrated I am with Nationwide. I have used them in the past and had no issues. I now am having nothing but issues. I enrolled my 2 cats in a policy several years ago. When there was a change to my CC, I forgot to notify them and the policies canceled. I re-enrolled them last year and after providing medical records, proof of vaccinations, recent physicals, etc., I heard nothing more and figured all was fine. I now know they were never enrolled stating paperwork was not received. After speaking to multiple people, they saw in fact paperwork was received and were going to expedite the policies to UW for activation. After almost 2 mos. of hearing nothing despite several follow up calls on my part, they are now saying policy has to be re-written. My cats are now 8 and no longer eligible for the comprehensive plan and would not have coverage for medical/accident services. I am so angry and frustrated. Today's call sent me over the edge. I was told I could not be transferred to the supervisor that was supposedly working my case. I was told she'd call me back, but I know that won't happen. I am usually very patient and calm having been in CS but this goes beyond my limits! 0/10 do not recommend.
