However, receiving the news that Trupanion will deny the claim because my dog has gingivitis as a "pre-existing condition" was quite a blow. As my vet staff said, "All dogs have gingivitis." And a highly-infected, absessed tooth that couldn't be treated when it was first diagnosed because the dog was undergoing chemotherapy strikes me as a little more than "pre-existing gingivitis." Very disappointing. However, Alyssa remains in my "good book" as polite, sympathetic, and very helpful.
