Was skeptical, now grateful!
I was expecting a catch with Grendel's teeth cleaning, but I was very grateful to learn it was a straightforward claim and Nationwide paid 90% of the total bill as promised. It'd be nice if the premium was a bit lower, else I'd rate a 10. Still, I am very happy with the customer service and peace of mind.

Payments r made in a timely matter it’s insurance that does exactly what it says it will do great company!!
. This insurance has saved me a few times. When my golden retriever swallowed a rock and needed emergency surgery having this insurance took a lot of the stress away. We knew she would get the best treatment because we had a policy with nationwide. They paid the claim in a timely matter no questions asked. I would never be without this policy this is a great company to deal with!!

as a disabled retired person who has been with you for over 15 years, I find those who answer your phones are getting worse. Example I am not a computer person, and asked for help to track Dominik's account, the botton line and I quote, was if you don't like it go somewhere else

Ginger is new to the world just 11 weeks old. We submitted claimes for puppy vacs and some meds for her heart worm and flea meds. No problem with the claims fast and no hassle. We would recommend this company to anyone. Thank you ASPCA.

Takes a while to process claims but they cover a lot more than other insurance companies
I got this insurance because I like the fact that they cover well visits as well as sick visits. It took three months for them to process the initial claims but once they did, they covered what they said they would and I was very happy with the outcome.

This most recent experience was to say the least ridiculous. Claim from April still going on!
I have Nationwide everything, auto, home and pet. The worst service is the pet insurance part. I have been struggling with Nationwide about a claim that should have been taken care of in April. I have resent into the company the proper papers for 3 months on and off. I think that there is an inconsistency within the pet insurance part. I do not like the format at all. When submitting a claim there is a "form" to follow which offers nothing in the way of being precise about the claim. After 3 months of calling and calling, resubmitting and resubmitting I finally got to a customer care representative who took care of me through a supervisor. Dah, why did that take so long. I do not think that Nationwide has a very good protocol at all for their pet insurance.

Immediate handling of wellness claim
Embrace is everything we need in pet insurance. This wellness claim was for meds but whenever we have a claim of any kind or a question the response by Embrace is immediate. The staff is also super helpful.
