Nationwide Claims

Nationwide did a good job handling my claims for my Shiba Aki. Sadly, Mr. Aki has cancer in his anal gland that has spread. Prognosis is poor, but I can't complain about the handling of my claim.

Extremely grateful for the service you provide

Mac our beloved dog was recently extremely sick with a stomach disorder. He had to be admitted and kept overnight at a vetinary emergency clinic. Thankfully he made a full recovery. The claim with Nationwide was quick and easy and we received a substantial part of our expenses back. Thank you for providing a wonderful service and giving us piece of mind for the care of our dog. The best pet insurance company we have ever used.

We love Nationwide Pet Insurance !!!

We have filed several claims with our 3 fur babies in the last 3 years... Customer service is excellent!!! We get reimbursed in a timely manner!!! We never had insurance with our last 3 fur babies... and at the end of 17+ years with them we had spent over 38,000.00 on them in medical expenses... When we started over with the next generation of "pure joy" ... I shopped around and am so glad that we chose Nationwide!!! I would recommend them to everyone....

Outstanding service and worth every penny!

I never have any problems with claims and the money is usually refunded 10-14 days after submitting the forms. Customer service is always there when I need them.

After comparing several pet insurance companies Nationwide was the best choice for our dog

We have only been clients for the past year but Nationwide has more than met our expectations. We were skeptical about what the coverage would actually be but have been very pleased with the reimbursement. The explanations of services not covered have been clear. Prior to making the decision to choose Nationwide we reviewed the comments online about several pet insurance companies and Nationwide seemed to offer the best coverage for us.

Service is very slow, unwilling to help and uninformed

When I initially signed up, I was told that it would take a month for the policy to kick in and if I filled out the profile online and I set up for for direct payment through Chase, all of my claim payments would be paid within 7 days. I set up an account ASAP and filled it out. It took you over 25+ days to pay me and that was with me harassing you nonstop. Every time I called, I was told that it takes 30 days to pay the claim. Then I brought up that I was set up to have my claim paid to me through Chase, your direct payment center, then I got "Oh.... well... I don't know why this is taking so long...". No one could answer me why, no one would direct me to someone to help me. All I got is that I just have to wait for the claim adjuster to finish with the claim. Now, I'm not an idiot. I work for a healthcare company. If they really were in the mood to help me, they could have contacted the claims person. I don't even work in the claims department in my job but if a customer reaches out to me and requests help, I certainly do help them. Your customer service people didn't even want to reach out or put forth an effort. Uninformed at the information in front of them, unwilling to do any kind of investigation... I'm still debating whether I will keep you as a company. The only reason why I haven't cancelled is because its a perk through my job. And apparently my threatening to cancel my insurance after waiting over three weeks to hear about my claim wasn't a deterrent to your customer service people to stop being lazy and help me because they just gave me advice that my third claim might not be paid if I canceled.

Best decision I’ve ever made

Nationwide has been a great resource! Submitting a claim is very straightforward and they always process claims as quickly as possible. And I love the fact that they have a vet help line, which has been helpful in all situations for me.
