I am blessed to have Ernie, and he is blessed to have you.
I adopted Ernie from the no-kill Mountain Brook pound in 11/2016 and bought his health insurance policy from you immediately. We have had two surgeries related to stones in his bladder; we have avoided surgery for torn ligaments in his knees (the scar tissue supports them fine; and most recently had to have treatment for an infection caused by another dog biting or scratching him. I believe you have been very responsive in meeting our needs. Because I treat my animals as if they were my kids, I could not afford to have Ernie were it not for health insurance. Thanks so much. Mostly Positive Experience
I feel that the time it takes for claims to be processed is incredibly long. I have had other claims for auto/renters/home that have been processed in a matter of hours, so I know that with a big company like Nationwide, it is very possible to speed these processes up. I am glad that I decided to get pet insurance for the most part. I was disappointed that when coverage plans were improved when VPI moved under the Nationwide umbrella, that my pet, who was still very young, did not qualify. I have recommended VPI to many friends since joining, and I feel that there wasn't much loyalty to existing customers when that happened.

Good service
I am satisfied with the way Nationwide handles my claims. Pretty easy to navigate and very professional. The only downside is the time it takes for claims to get processed and distributed. But all in all, good service.

Came through when we needed you most
Our beautiful, beloved 3 yr old Bernese Mountain dog, Hudson somehow ingested something, maybe a bone. We don't know. It caused a tear in his esophagus that could not be repaired in spite of the heroic efforts of Oradell Animal hospital Doctors and staff. He was put to rest while in our loving embrace. My wife, whom he adored is devastated. My grief at the loss of this happy, loving, gentle giant with his beautiful soul physically hurts. Embrace not only handled our claim with compassion and expediency during this time of incredible grief , but the candle they lit and donation in his honor to help feed shelter animals is fitting tribute to this gentle, loving giant who loved children, playing with other dogs and being with us. Thank you Embrace claims team.
