Wonderful to have piece of mind.
Last February my Tucker swallowed a toy and almost needed surgery. After that scare, I signed him up for Pet's Best Insurance. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to have the piece of mind that he will be covered if he gets sick or injured again.

Although I do not always agree with the amounts I receive, Nationwide always explains the whys and how as to the amounts and it usually matches to the contract I have agreed to. The mailings they send always show a large concern for my dog which is of major importance to me. The reimbursement checks over the years have come timely (with a few exceptions). I recommend Nationwide to all with pets.

Long Wait
The claim process submission should be easier than having to print and scan paper. Even being able to save a pdf of the form would be helpful rather than having to print it, sign, scan it back in to email. Thankfully, there is an auto response to let me know if was received. Then, there is a wait. I've only had 3-4 claims and each has taken a month or more to process. Then, it seems that time was used to have me repeatedly send records so that "something" could be found. After "things" were found, these became pre-existing conditions. Here, it would be helpful to have some warning- I would have been happy to explain each "thing" that was found. But on your terms, the vet must write a report. She did. Now, waiting and waiting to hear back. No information on the web site except the word: Processing.

Trupanion acknowledges and pays claims promptly.
Unlike the insurance woes we experience with our insurance carrier, Trupanion acknowledges receipt of our claims, clearly explains if there is a decline and pays promptly. My experience has been they pay within a weeks time.
