ABSOLUTELY AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!!
My experience with Nationwide Pet Insurance was the best. You never know what to expect from your insurance until you need them. Our baby collided with a car and displaced his hip. After attempting to reinsert it, we ended up having to do an FHO. I filed both claims with NPI and they were paid with no issues. I have referred NPI to all my pet loving friends. I could not have asked for better customer service. Thanks NPI!!!

Trupanion is awesome!

Great insurance, slow reimbursement
I think Nationwide pet insurance is amazing. It's super easy to submit a claim and I never feel like I am being duped and taken advantage of. I always understand my reimbursement amount. However, I think the amount of time taken to process a claim and receive reimbursement is far too long. The last time I submitted, it took about a month to receive. Luckily, this was a small bill, but in the future it may be larger and have more of an impact on my finances. I would like to see this amount of time shortened. Otherwise, Nationwide is great!

Get Healthy Paws!
I cannot say enough great things about Healthy Paws. Our dog, Siggi, got really sick and having Healthy Paws insurance gave her access to the care that she needed that she otherwise would not have had. The claims process was straightforward and fast. I will continue using Healthy Paws and would recommend to anyone with a loved pet!

Compassionate and timely response!
I cannot tell you what a comfort it is to know that the insurance company I chose truly cares about my dog. The inquiry I sent was dealt with quickly, compassionately and thoroughly. What a blessing. I can tell you that my view of “insurance companies” has not been favourable on more occasions than I can count, but, Trupanion is an excellent company and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Trupanion to anyone. I live in Alberta, Canada and am unable to tell you that with the resticted choices for where I live in the drop down menu below. That may need to be altered to better reflect the appropriateness of this review.

You care enough to insure your pets, so do your research and get the best!
A very short time after I signed up with Healthy Paws, both of my dogs needed expensive diagnostic testing, and one needed surgery to correct the development of tracheal paralysis which caused his airway to be too narrow to adequately oxygenate him. Both are senior dogs, a 10 and 12 year old, so the deductible was $750 a year, with a 60% reimbursement rate which I thought was fair because I hadn’t started them at a young age. Both are very healthy but I thought that at their age they might be more prone to accidental injury because they are active and regularly go to the dog park to play with other dogs. I had never imagined I would need to spend over $5000 for a medical issue on the older one, a Standard Labradoodle, and even the 10 year old Spitz has already cleared her deductible. The reimbursements from Healthy Paws were made promptly, professionally, and the staff is very cordial and caring about the welfare of my pets. I am so happy I did my research and didn’t settle on the company that would have been more convenient because my vet would do the paperwork, and another that friends at the Dog Park have. It’s very easy to submit claims via their app. Do your research - there are many independent reviews about this company. I hope you will never have to use it like I did, but if you do they will provide tremendous relief and support to enable you to care for your companion in the best possible way.
