Helps me focus on my pet's health instead of vet bills
My cat, Cheese, recently ate a ribbon and needed a lot of medical care. I was SO thankful to have him covered by Healthy Paws! He had experienced some health difficulties previously, before I had him insured, and it was just awful. Every procedure I had to think about money, and it was terrible to be in the position of weighing the cost against my pet's life. I am a student, and I ended up spending literally all of my savings to pay for his care. This time when he was ill, I could just focus on making decisions that were best for Cheese, without having to worry that I would bankrupt myself in the process. I will agree with the negative reviews that the premiums do go up SUBSTANTIALLY each year. My pets are both still fairly young, so it's still worth it. Even if it gets to $100/month, I will probably continue the policies, just so that if/when they get sick, I can avoid worrying about money and focus on my pet's health. Also, I have had great experiences with customer service every time I've called. I don't think they are quite as responsive by email, but I've never had to wait on hold for a long time and everyone I've spoken to has been very helpful and friendly. I recommend Healthy Paws to all of my friends!

Speedy claim process, clear communication
From my dog's consult and surgery to receiving the first communication on the status of our claim, working with Nationwide was fairly seamless. Definitely was good to have clearly stated EOBs and communication during a particularly stressful time.

Healthy Paws is ABSOLUTELY the BEST and HELPED me pay my bills for my cat to SURVIVE!
Healthy Paws is the BEST! I have had other pet insurance and they are by far so SUPERIOR. No questions asked, not a lot of paperwork to submit, just your bill and they understand and pay within a couple of weeks. They have paid me over $50k for the care of my cat! Their app is fantastic. I take picture of my bill and within minutes they start processing. My COMPLIMENTS to the owner, founder and all their staff for helping me and my cat.

I LOVE this organization - they have saved my dogs - and me!
Healthy Paws has saved both my dogs lives - and saved me! I have one dog with a severe heart condition whose monthly medication bill alone is well over $100, not to mention all the echocardiograms, x-rays and bloodwork. My other dog has been a habitual rock eater - costing thousands of dollars on surgeries. With Healthy Paws the claim process is simple and seamless, and refunds are within days. In addition they even check in to see how my dogs are doing - and I am not talking automated messages - I mean personal checking in with real care. I love this organization! PS : My dogs are Lagotto Romagnolo's - not Portuguese Water dogs.

Worst company ever
Cancelled policy and yet 2 weeks later they are still taking money out of my account after I was told I was going to be reimbursed the money for the policy premium. What liars they turn out to be. Would not recommend this company to,my worst enemy

I have two dogs and both have had to have surgery one for patella and the other bladder stones and tumors. You have been there for me with both of my furbabies.
