Healthy Paws is the best pet health insurance!

Healthy Paws is a wonderful company! I cannot say that about any other insurance companies I have experience with (including human). Lexie, my Dobe has had two surgeries over the past couple of weeks. Healthy Paws is simple to use and payouts are quick. There has been no quibbling over loopholes or legalese. I have been able to concentrate on Lexie’s health, not on how to pay the bills. They are also compassionate, checking with me on how she’s doing. My health insurance had never done this! I find Healthy Paws to be ethical and impressive!

Great Coverage - Long Waits

I'd like to start by saying that the coverage of this plan is great. It is worth it to have piece of mind in case anything comes up. However the claims process takes a very long time. I tried submitting claims both through the Vetline App, and by fax. Both times, Nationwide told me they never received my claim. Meanwhile significant time had already passed. During another event, my wording was a bit off on one claim. I wasn't made aware until 28 days after I submitted the claim. Therefore I had to submit a new claim, and wait another full 30 days to receive payment. I completely understand waiting 30 days to receive payment, but I wish the claim approvals/denials was faster. I'd like to know within 1 week if my claim had been approved, even if that meant waiting another 3 weeks to get paid.

I’m really grateful I got insurance for Zoey. Without it, I would be in serious debt. Thank you for reviewing my claim in a timely manner. My only suggestion would be to update your website and allow for claims to be submitted electronicallly.

ASPCA SERVICE

In all my dealings with ASPCA over the years I have found them to be nothing but professional and courteous. When contacting them they always without fail ask how the pet is doing and give that personal touch. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone requiring pet insurance

Thank you Trupanion for processing our claims for "Mackie" in two weeks!

We were pleased that Trupanion processed our claims for "Mackie" in two weeks. We had paid $7000 for tests and surgery for Mackie, when a cancerous tumor was found. We were happy to be reimbursed approximately $6000 by Trupanion. Trupanion now has lots more insured pets, than when we purchased health insurance for Mackie five years ago. Our first claim (4 years ago) was processed and reimbursed to us the next day! This time it took two weeks, but we were happy to have our claim paid in two weeks. Trupanion are always very friendly and caring, and we are happy to have them on our side :) You might want to consider adding staff to answer phones, as it is necessary to hold on for 1/2 hour or more. When we purchased insurance five years ago, we could get through to Trupanion on the phone instantly!
