Glad we got insurance on Bubba.

Very glad we got insurance on Bubba, I feel it is an asset that does not break the bank. They are there for us when we need them even on the phone.

Thank you ASPCA for covering our claims!

My 8 year old Himalayan cat Winslow had a second bout of bladder stones. This time around it occurred on a holiday weekend, meaning that the emergency hospital we brought him to was unable to provide the surgery he needed until well after the holiday. They were able to unblock him with a catheter, and then we had to drive him to another hospital (2.5 hours away) for surgery. I ended up submitting claims from multiple hospitals for multiple procedures. I was delighted when I received reimbursement for these claims about 6 weeks later.... I expected it to take much longer, and wasn't even sure how much would be covered. I'm very pleased with the quick turnaround and reimbursement rate. Thank you!

Best pet insurance we have found so far

This is the fourth different pet insurance company I have been with over the years, for different pets and in different states. Embrace is by far the easiest to use. The patient portal is very intuitive. And they also have been the easiest to communicate with by FAR. Any and all questions get a personal and detailed response. Their rather broad interpretation of what constitutes a "previously existing condition" is disappointing. But they were very up front about it, and sent a detailed explanation of what would be excluded in advance (with opportunity to appeal for further review). There have been no hidden "surprises" like too many other insurers spring on pet owners. On the whole, I'm glad we are with them.

What a relief to have pet medical insurance

My husband is disabled and we live on a fixed income. Keeping his service dog healthy is critical to both of their well being and having Natiowide Pet Insurance has repeatedly been a great blessing. Although we must pay up front for vet services, and there is a $250 deductible, it is so worth it to get all of Hawkeye's wellness taken care of each year, and then to know we can afford to have his teeth cleaned or have other emergency vet services covered 80% if we need them. Nationwide pays promptly, and is helpful and easy to communicate with whenever we have questions or need help. We highly recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance for peace of mind and great service.

Wonderful service.

It is so good to have Nationwide insurance for my dog. I'm not sure how I could have handled the expense without it. Their service is fantastic both in terms of coverage and the speen with which they address the claims. I highly recommend them to anyone with a pet.

So glad we did this!

Our young male cat, Moses, is an indoor/outdoor guy. He stays close to home but finds lots to get into! He likes to eat and "play" with things that don't agree with him so we visit our vet with various and sundry ailments related to his outdoor adventures. Each year, our insurance has covered our expenses and more. Would NOT be without it. Claims are easy to file online and promptly paid.

They always find an issue with larger claims and won't provide a specific explanation is to fix it.

I've had a few larger claims and I've had issues where they say they need more information. The first time they said the medication didn't explain the reason I brought the dog in, even though the form clearly stated she was there for 2 issues. Now they won't fill a second claim for a tumor removal and I have emailed asking to tell me why and I don't get specifics. Additionally they keep saying they have tried to contact both me and my vets office without success, but I have received zero emails or calls regarding the claim and my vet's office also did not receive anything. This is after I have submitted all the paperwork and receipt from the vets office and the claim form with notes from the vet. I have asked them to contact my vet directly at his email and to cc me as well, but then i just get the same generic email that they have attempted to reach the vet unsuccessfully. It makes it very difficult to trust the company.
