Embrace Pet Insurance is fantastic!

We've been using Embrace for almost three years since we brought our puppy home. The insurance has great coverage at an affordable price, and the claims process is outstanding--coverage is as advertised, processing is quick, customer service friendly when you call them. We also take advantage of the wellness program, which is essentially like a monthly savings plan for non-covered items, whatever they may be. I highly recommend Embrace Pet Insurance.

Your pet is an integral family member - ASPCA understands this and supports you and your pet every year of their life!!!

Over the course of nearly 15 years, our family expanded to include a wonderful Cockapoo dog named Mollie. As a puppy and as an adult dog, she did everything with the family, including long walks with her parents, hanging out at the pool in the summer, offering to taste test anything that came off the BBQ grill, and vacationing in Cape May with the entire family. We decided early on that we never wanted to make serious medical decisions about our pet based on economics, so we took out an insurance policy with ASPCA. She had a long and happy life, thanks to healthy living and the special caring exhibited by ASPCA, through efficient claim reviews and more often that not, expedient reimbursement of medical claims related to illnesses and/or necessary treatments. Mollie's life would not have been as robust without the "financial caring" shown by the ASPCA organization. In her memory, we thank you.

Would not own another dog without Healthy Paws Insurance

I just want to say that my wife and I could not be more pleased with Healthy Paws and how easy it to file claims and receive reimbursements. Our German Shepherd was diagnosed with a potentially life threatening fungal infection in his eye and required thousands of dollars worth of treatment and medications. We are not in great financial shape right now so to be able to focus on our dog and not have to worry much about the financial side of treatment is such a blessing. Getting Healthy Paws insurance was a great decision and I would never own a pet again without this insurance. We have been telling our friends and family about Healthy Paws and highly recommending getting pet insurance through them.

Unfair assessment of claims - will spin information to their benefit

I have had the most infuriating experience dealing with my claims that were partially denied because Nationwide asserts that the treatments rendered were for a pre-existing condition. Having read the Company's own definition of a pre-existing condition, it is clear that the Company will just bend your vet records to interpret them in a way that benefits them the most; in other words, they will do whatever it takes to spin the information so that helps them avoid reimbursement. I signed up for this insurance for peace of mind for my beloved pet, who actually has a real problem now that will not be covered, and instead I am not only stressing over the health of my pet but the financial burden of paying 100% out-of-pocket now that I cannot trust Nationwide as a provider. My veterinarian even gladly called Nationwide on my behalf to walk them through my pet's medical history which resulted in Nationwide indicating that they would provide additional reimbursement as a result of that conversation. Have I seen that additional reimbursement or had any follow-up correspondence from Nationwide? -- of course not. I enrolled in this benefit through my employer not realizing, at the time, how many other pet-insurance options there are that make so much more sense for the average pet-owner (especially dog-owners). The coverage (or lack thereof) is not worth the premium you pay -- be advised!

Lifesaver

Nationwide pet insurance has been great. I was with VPI in the beginning and have had a total of 3 dogs insured, 2 at present. Recently my bloodhound needed physical therapy for an injury. The claims are easy to file and the reimbursement was timely. A good part of the physical therapy was covered. I am very pleased. Thank you Nationwide

Overall a good experience dealing with your business

I have had problems understanding delays in payments and need for more information. But this was mostly my fault. When I reach a person to talk to, they are VERY HELPFUL! It’s just hard as you get older to understand electronics communications. Thanks for your patience.
