Convenient & Caring
Nationwide made paying for the major medical costs for my dog/furbaby, Oliver, so easy and convenient! When Oliver had to be rushed to the vet this spring, I was worried about his health. But I wasn't worried about the costs - $650. I knew that Nationwide covered it under my dog insurance plan conveniently set up through payroll deduction. When I called Nationwide's customer service to check on the claim, they explained that they hadn't received it yet. They reassured me that, on receipt, they would process it as quickly as possible. I called my vet's office to remind them to file the paperwork. I received email notice that Nationwide had my claim and notice again when they finished processing it. Within two weeks, Nationwide direct deposited the refund to my bank.

Nationwide insurance for my dog
My dog is 2.5 years old. I took insurance with Nationwide when she was about 6 months. The claim process is simple. One can either email or fax the claim. So far I never had a issue receiving the reimbursements whether the bill small or big. The customer service is also friendly.

I am so glad I got this insurance!!!!
My food-obsessed lab mix managed to break through a crack in the recycling bin and pull out a pizza box. We ended up in the Emergency Room and his GI obstruction cost $1000 to take care of! It was so easy to submit the claim and get reimbursed. That I almost started humming “Nationwide is on your side...”

Warning, if your animal ever had a complaint prior to diagnoses they will deny your claim
Closed case because they said they did not get the pets file from vets when in turn they did and I had to re-open the case. They paid 67 dollars of 504 bill. So if your dog has ever had a complaint prior to being diagnosed they will say that they had it before and deny your claim. Total waste of money.
