I can’t say enough about how wonderful
I can’t say enough about how wonderful, professional, helpful, and truly concern your staff is from questions to claims. Thank goodness that I chose a quality pet insurance company like Trupanion for my fur baby rescue shepherd, Max, when he was a puppy.

great coverage, if you can get a claim processed
Moving into my second policy year. I had a claim for an unexpected tooth removal during the annual cleaning. Submitted the claim and 3 weeks in the insurance company requested more documents from the veterinarian. I confirmed with the veterinarian that they had been sent, but the claim was closed with no payment and stating they needed more information. I called the insurance company who confirmed that they did not receive anything. I then called the veterinarian who said they had sent it but then recent it to me directly. I uploaded the documents to my policy and immediately called them back to reopen the claim. This was over a week ago and I have yet to receive any notification. It's now been over 5 weeks and nothing has been done. This was my first experience with using this policy at pets Best and I must say unfortunately I am disappointed. I have had pet insurance for almost 20 years now and never had this difficulty or this long of processing for a claim.

Filing a claim is the easy part….
Getting a timely response is a whole other matter. Claims are taking longer and longer to process. When status inquiries are made, canned and lame “we’re sorry for the delay” replies are automatically issued — with no projection of how much longer it will take to receive a reply/decision. I’m shopping around for another carrier. I’ve had it with pet’s best. They’re just another sad business doing its very best to be barely mediocre.

My experience was good submitting my bill for Addie Maes doctors vist at Flannery's Hospital in Newburgh. The only issue I had was that it was necessary to start a new claim when I needed to submit more paperwork that Metlifr Pet Insurance needed because I could not submit said paperwork to an existing claim. They need a submit paperwork to an existing claim.
