Dealing with Nationwide has been hassle-free
I've dealt with a number of insurance companies over the years and Nationwide by far has been the easiest to work with. They've turned a stressful, worrisome time into peace of mind with their fast response to question, simple claim submission, and online ability to track where in the process everything is. I'm so thrilled I elected to enroll and Lexie thanks you for it too.. she's on the mend!

Having pet insurance is very useful.
My only frustration with the claim submission process is that the pre-filled claim form is a PDF. Without full Adobe Acrobat, it is not possible to fill in the balance of the form with the required information. When one prints the pre-filled form, none of the pre-filled information is included. We’ve had pet insurance for about 12 1/2 years. No other issues.

Trupanion is awesome!!
Our 2 1/2-year-old Lab, Tank, did what most Labs do - ate something he shouldn't. He literally snatched a corn cob from my husband's hand and swallowed it before we could fish it out of his mouth. A few weeks pass and Tank is not feeling well. We quickly learned that a cob can take its time leaving a dogs' stomach. We take him to the local emergency veterinary hospital, and they confirm that the cob has found its way to his intestines. We had to transfer him to another emergency hospital as the first did not have a surgeon available. After two separate hospital visits, a surgery and a couple of days in recovery in hospital, Trupanion paid a good portion of the bill. This relieved a great worry from us, emotionally and financially. I touched based with customer service to let them know about the hospital transfer. As always, the CSR was friendly and helpful. One hospital was able to direct-bill, while I had to submit the first visit (new hospital still coming online). It's been less than a week since this all took place and the claims are paid. Tank is home, healthy but not happy about the cone, and we don't have to worry about how we are going to pay for it all. Make thanks to Trupanion. I tell every pet owner they should invest now.

Under New Management?
I have had all three of my dogs insured with Healthy Paws since 2012. They used to be terrific. Now they are horrible. They deny claims because they say they don't have records, even though the records have been sent, I appeal the claims only to have the appeal disappear with no resolution, I can't get in touch with anyone to discuss the issues, and if I do, it usually means starting all over again. I have given up and filed complaints with BBB and the Insurance Commissioner.

Best decision I made after getting my puppy
I’m so glad I decided to get pet insurance after getting our puppy. He had an unforeseen emergency room visit that ultimately saved his life and with all the stress that came with the situation I knew I could make the best decisions for him and not worry about the financial burden. Claim process was quick and easy and the customer care has been amazing.

Worst pet insurance
Truepanion is a Joke got insurance on my dog he is now 5 He has a torn tendon they wont cover it because he rolled his leg 6 months ago and now he tripped and tore his tendon. Your dog could brake his leg yet they wont cover it because he limped when he was 2 years old! Not worth the money
