Fast and easy

Our precious puppy got accidentally poisoned with rhododendron. We rushed to the hospital to get emergency care. However it was good to have peace of mind about financial coverage. Nationwide has covered our claim as expected. And our puppy has been doing great.

Awesome!

I called the Nationwide pet line to ask about what to do when I came home and found my cat wheezing. They directed me to seek care, and we did. I filed the claim from the emergency vet visit the next day and received a prompt response and quick turn around time on payment within a week. What a relief to know that I can get the care I need for my pet without worrying about cost hindering what I am able to authorize for her care. Thank you Nationwide!

Vet Helpline was excellent in giving recommendations when I felt helpless.

I decided to call the 24/7 Vet Helpline because I felt helpless around 9 pm on a Saturday when my vet was closed. I knew the only option was to go to the emergency room if things were bad. Obviously I was on the fence about bringing her to the emergency vet because I was unsure how serious the injury was. There were no visible signs of an injury, but you could tell there was discomfort. After consulting with the helpline, they recommended going after reviewing all the symptoms and that waiting could cause more harm. Additionally, it would give me a sense of relief. Knowing that I had insurance definitely motivated me to go to the ER or I might have waited until the vet opened on Monday stressed out. I was reimbursed within two weeks which was fast for Nationwide. Normally, they can take 3-4 weeks.

The claim submission was easy to understand and the turn around time was incredibly fast.

This is our first and only cat so we were clueless about what to do when he became seriously ill. The emergency vet bill was considerable. Nationwide makes the claims submission process so easy and they reimburse very quickly. It definitely made an otherwise stressful situation more tolerable.

Best pet insurance company

I have nothing but praise for healthy paws. Their insurance is top notch. The quick payments are second to none and the follow up emails shows they care about my cats. I researched many other insurances and am very happy I went with healthy paws, they do give you peace of mind and you don’t have to worry about giving your pets the best care because of cost.

Awful waste of money

This is the worst policy ever you pay 950. a year per pet and then have a 250.00 deductible then i have had to resubmit the information 3 times with the doctor notes was not enough for 14.00 reimbursement. not worth the hassle. We this is a lie cause i cant leave a review that is bad. We want to hear from you: the good, bad & the ugly! Liars! Called before visit and was told I would be reimbursed in my pocket for the visit, I was NOT!!

I called before visit and was told I would be reimbursed for the visit. Went in had visit then was told no it will be added to your deductible. That isNOT what was discussed!! It clearly states it was covered so what your saying is it wasn’t covered! Covered means you pay for the visit and you did NOT!!! I am now reporting you to the BBB!
