Slow response on claims and not covering meds without an exact diagnosis
Would not cover meds (gabapentin) because there was no diagnosis. The diagnosis was a visit to the vet who examined the dog and found that there may be nerve damage but could not confirm without MRI and to wait to see if lameness subsided before proceeding. That, to me, is a diagnosis. Also, we do not get responses to our claims for months. I would change insurance companies but am now stuck with Pets Best because this will be a preexisting condition if I choose another insurance company.

outstanding and responsible service
I have 3 cats, 2 insured with ASPCA and one with another insurance provider. ASPCA is head and shoulders above my other insurance company. ASPCA is responsive, the claims are easy to file,ASPCA keeps me informed every step of the way, and goes out of its way to make sure I understand what is being covered and why. I would have all 3 cats on ASPCA but the third cat was diagnosed with a heart condition while on the other insurance and so I could not switch to ASPCA for his coverage (preexisting condition).

Suggest allowing people to make changes to policy online
Hi, I like Nationwide Pet Insurance. I haven't really had any problems. The only thing I would suggest is to allow people to make changes to their plans online. Calling in to make changes is a pain. Thank you, Senta

Healthy Paws Is OUTSTANDING!
Our dog Millie presented with a few symptoms that seemed unrelated but turned out to be allergies. She had several visits to the vet and extensive testing, which was quite expensive. She is now receiving immunotherapy in hopes of reducing her reaction to trees, grass, etc. Healthy Paws is outstanding! We've always insured our pets and Healthy Paws has the simplest claims process by far as well as the fastest claim turnaround time. It is also the least expensive when compared to Trupanion and other pet insurance companies. I highly recommend Healthy Paws

Fast and easy!
Using Nationwide Pet Insurance could not be easier to use. We submit our claims online and are quickly acknowledged via email. If there has been something missing in a claim we are told quickly. Reimbursement is fast and straight to our checking account.
