Worst Company to deal with - go elsewhere
We have been customers for over 7 years, and until about 5-6 months ago, we were happy with the company. It is my understanding they were recently bought out, and holy cow - night and day difference. The EXACT same claims that have been covered for over six years are now consistently being denied, with a different explanation for each denial - same documentation provided. My daughter, who I previously recommended to get Pets Best, has had to drop her policy for the exact same reason. Her dog was attacked by another dog, requiring emergency surgery. The claim was for SIGNIFICANTLY more than the $75 or so they finally were reimbursed for. Expect to wait 45 minutes to over an hour, or not at all if you try to call customer service. I am attempting to file complaints with any and all insurance regulatory commissions, but there appears to be very little regulatory oversight in pet insurance, which is a big concern given the great increase of these policies.

MetLife Pet Insurance is Awesome
We had MetLife Pet Insurance for about two years and were extremely happy with them. Tragically, our dog got loose and was hit by a car just two days after our policy went into effect, and MetLife paid the claim without hesitation. From our first claim to our last, payments were fast and customer service was always helpful and responsive. Over the time we had coverage, they paid out more than we ever paid in premiums, which really speaks to their reliability. Unfortunately, we no longer have our dog, but if we ever get another pet, we will absolutely choose MetLife again. The only improvement I would suggest is the option for direct payment to vets instead of reimbursement. Highly recommend.

Horrible service
Horrible service. Website having issues. Called customer service to cancel my policy Was on hold forever. Finally they said they’d have someone call me back. Waited an hour and a half. No call back. Called again. Was put on hold then someone from the wrong department answered. I’m canceling my policy. This is ridiculous
