Read everything VERY VERY closely before signing
My animals are very important. The first time I ever got insurance was through MetLife because I trusted the name. I made it abundantly clear the coverage I wanted. I made the mistake of trusting the MetLife agent to give me what I needed. I ended up with a policy that only covered $2000 which is nothing. If I knew that was the limit of the coverage, I never would have taken the policy because it was definitely not what I asked for. After my dog passed, I was advised I had a death benefit. So, I put the claim in, only to find out it got denied because I reached my $2000 limit, of which they only pay 90% so the actually limit is $1800. My premiums were more than that. Horrible coverage and will never go back.
Very happy with MetLife Pet
We purchased what I designed to be "catastrophic" coverage for a young bully breed family member - 2500 ded., 90% unlimited afterward - for a very reasonable price. One ER visit and an allergy diagnosis later, we have exceeded the deductible and are receiving reimbursement. The claims upload process is easy, and our claims have been processed quickly, including a claim for boarding while his Mom was hospitalized and coverage for expensive hydrolyzed prescription food. Any questions/concerns we've had have been resolved by their customer reps, who are available 7 days a week. Getting coverage when our dog was young (7 months) avoided issues with preexisting conditions, as he had none at the time we purchased the policy (as documented in his adoption and wellness care vet notes). And I'm old enough to remember: "Get Met - It Pays" :-)

Healthy Paws is great!
We have a yellow lab (Simon) and have a pet insurance policy with Healthy Paws. Simon tore his ACL and had to have surgery. Healthy Paws paid the invoice in only two days with no questions asked other than to kindly following up a couple days later inquiring how Simon was recovering. It made a stressful experience easier for us. If you are in the market for pet insurance, I would highly recommend Healthy Paws!

Pets Best is the best!
"We have had several claim with Pets Best but never one as expensive as this one. My poor boy had bladder stones. The vet (unfortunately) did not see the need to do surgery, so in two months, we had to go back. In a stream of unfortunate events to follow, we were back and forth to emergency vets, this was EXHAUSTING. Finally we asked that they do a surgery and they did. This was all very expensive and very stressful and many missed days of work. Pets Best saved our bacon with their wonderful insurance! I am forever grateful and I will continue to refer their name to ALL of my friends and FB

Excellent!
So glad that I have trusted Pets Best. I was skeptical at first based on so many negative reviews, however, I have had to use them twice for claims now, and they paid the claims perfectly exactly according to my policy and the set coverage limits, no questions asked, as expected. I believe most of the negative reviews must be based off of people who do not actually read the policy details and who don't understand what is covered and what is not. I am so thankful that I got this insurance, and thank you to Pets Best for making the process very simple and for standing behind what you say, you will cover!

Our beloved cat had an accident and fractured her back leg. She needed surgery, which was very expensive. After I paid for everything and I submitted the claim, I was ready to fight for the reimbursement, like you always have to do with insurances. Three days after, the claim was accepted, no questions or uncomfortable phone calls. I had the reimbursement included in my policy less than one week after the surgery. Thanks Hartville Insurance for making things so easy in a moment of need. 100% recommended.

I Love This Insurance!
I had Healthy Paws for my Tibetan Mastiff for 10 years until he passed. I was ALWAYS pleased with the ease of filing a claim and the quick reimbursement time. Both of my cats have Healthy Paws insurance. It is a good thing because I had to file a claim for my 7 month old kitten. I have to say that it was a little more tedious and took longer to get this claim settled compared to previous claims that I had for my dog. I was expecting this because it was the first time filling a claim for my baby. There was a slight misunderstanding and when I submitted his medical history, which until this emergency visit, he only had shots, they submitted the shot invoices as claims. Those "claims" had to be settled first (I didn't submit as a claim because I knew they were not eligible) before the emergency claim could be settled. The entire claim payout took a few weeks. I'm used to getting reimbursed within a week. I still stand behind a 5 start rating because they were just being extra vigilant and I know the first ever claim requires more documents to be provided. Hopefully, I won't have to use this insurance in the future, but it's very reassuring just knowing that my pets are covered.
First ER Trip with My Best Girl
As a first-time pet "owner," pet insurance was something I hoped I'd never have to use, and for nearly 6 years I barely did with a healthy girl and nothing that ever exceeded the $500 deductible on my plan. Still, I've always appreciated the piece of mind that Pets Best offered and the clean user experience of their app and website. Then, a few weeks ago, my girl sliced open a section of her back running top speed too close to an old piece of farm equipment. After a long, emotional day, she was stitched up (and doing great thanks to the excellent care of the team at Pet Emergency Center in Mt. Vernon, WA) and I didn't think twice about paying the $1,500 ER bill on a credit card. Filing the claim to Pets Best was a breeze and I got an explanation of benefits within days that reassured me that a reimbursement was already on its way to my bank account and would cover what I expected (full amount minus the deductible and co-pay). I submitted my claim on February 7th and reimbursement was received on February 20th. Pup is doing great and I'm a very relieved and grateful dog mama.
