Exceptionally Customizable - Administratively Challenging
PetsBest is great for it's customizable plans to fit your budget. However, claims take a month or more to process, customer service wait times are 10-15 minutes plus, and a receipt for services does not seem to be adequate if you've met your deductible and are owed money. My most recent claim, submitted in November 2025 for dental procedures, was rejected because the vet did not send medical records. I was told to get medical records dating back to October 2024 from ALL vets my pet had seen, open a new claim, and submit the records. I did all of this and just received a message last week that I needed to resubmit the records. I guess if you're not due money back, PetsBest is great, but if you've met your deductible and are owed money, be prepared for administrative hassle that can drag on for literally months.

Claims Dept does everything to delay snd possibly to deny (Appears). I almost have to call several times in claims to get issues resolved Oversll the staff are courteous and good listeners but there in my view a claims problem. Costly and not getting what we signed up for . 🙏it gets better Please

Trupanion steps up when needed most, providing the most reliable safety net I could hope for in a pet emergency. Simply put, I would be financially buried without Trupanion. Thank you for helping me save my best friend and sleep well. After 4 major claims in 6 years, I would go to war for Trupanion.

Multiple "delays"? Why
I appreciate the communication; however, the delay in processing seems to be an issue. I received 3 of these emails, one is understandable, but I do question the quality and business practices when there are multiple delays. I simply can not say enough about our experience with Trupanion. Unfortunately our pet, Brewer, had a ridiculous amount of health problems: between the severe allergies affecting everything from his eyes, ears, and skin to the two TPLO surgeries on his back legs, we NEVER had an issue receiving reimbursement. The customer service and compassion from everyone I spoke with at the company was unmatched. Although our sweet Brewer did not get to have a very long life (he was only 6), Trupanion helped us give him the best life possible. We always said Brewer was the best thing we ever got and his insurance was the 2nd best thing. Thank you Trupanion - we are truly grateful to have had you in our corner.
