Been with VPI/Nationwide Pet Insurance for the past 25 years. Excellent customer service, always processed my claims with lighting speed, in one or days days I will have my reimbursement in days. Best pet insurance on the market.

Sociopathic company
When you submit a claim with Healthy Paws, they will waste your time as much as possible in hopes that you will give up on the claim so that they can deny it. Each representative tells you something different, ensuring that you have no idea what is going on or how claims are being processed. At best, this company is weaponizing its incompetence. At worst, they are sociopaths, using your pet's health to extract as much money from you without paying out claims. If you need pet health insurance, stay away from Healthy Paws.

Winnie's Care
It's a very long story.But ultimately, my two year old puppy was diagnosed with lymphoma. My fiance and I were devastated.. She's currently being treated with chemotherapy and is handling it well. We pray every day that her treatment will be effective.And her remission will last far longer than we have been told. Ultimately, we would have treated Winnie regardless, but Pet's Best coverage has helped us with one less thing to the stress about.

Gastropexy...
Saturday night 1-10-26 my dog came up to me and wanted to go outside. I noticed his belly was a little bloated and when he was outside it got worse. So, I rushed him to VCA and they had to perform an emergency gastropexy...saved my dogs life!! the insurance info was sent in the following Monday and I received my check in 2 weeks, Bam!! Now that's how it's supposed to be!!

Worst experience
Beware, if anything happens to your pet the insurance company just keeps asking for more information. They denied the whole claim and I feel so cheated. The rep was rude, they won't repoen claims. They won't let you talk to anyone. They won't help in any way. The EOB just says information needed. I'm beyond upset about the service they provide. It's the worst experience I've ever had.

I haven’t had to use the pet insurance for anything major but we took Sadie to the vet for a well check and heart worm test and Pumpkin put almost all of the charge towards our deductible. We appreciate that.
