Slow to process then quick to deny

Slow processing time and then your claims are denied for preexisting without them taking the time to throughly understand the care received. Don’t waste your money! There are better options for quick claims processing and payouts.

Wrongfully denied claims

The claim was for nextguard plus. I buy it annually and never have an issue.. this year my bc Aim was denied multiple times stating I needed to submit and invoice. Each time I submitted and invoice. Then I would call and get confirmation what I submitted was exact what was needed !and what was exactly what I sent in past years. A full invoice with my information, my vet information, medication, h dog name and proof of payment. After multiple calls and submissions it was finally approved and nobody can explain what the issue was.

Costs rise exponentially

We have generally had a good experience with Trupanion- they don’t pull any stunts as far as coverage or records. My complaint is the rise in costs - our dog is now 11 and we have had them for 6 years and have had reasonable increases (<10%) each year until this year when it was over 25%. It would be incredibly hard to get our dog insured elsewhere at this point and I’m sure they know that- just disappointed this is how they treat their long term customers (and I’m a vet- definitely no professional discount even though I’ve saved them thousands of dollars over the years in reduced fees and diagnostics.)

"Pets Best has worked very well for my dog. Until this year he has been very healthy except for a a few months in 2024. This year he developed heart disease that required treatment and medications. Pets Best has reimbursed all claim as I hoped they would. I am very satisfied with their process. I would suggest a claim option for medications in the area where they ask who provided the service. That being said, they always take care of it when I name my vet who wrote the scrip as the provider."

Forever waiting

I have been waiting for a review of my submitted claim for almost 3 months. After I tracked down all the information Embrace requested to rule out a pre-existing condition, I continue to wait on their response. Don’t waste your time trying to reach a human on the phone. The wait is almost always over 1/2 hour and it could be more but I always end up hanging up. Additionally, the website always has glitches and redirects me to an unresponsive page. I’m not sure what’s going on with this company but I’m willing to wait and see how they respond to my claim.
