It is very easy to submit a claim
We have had this pet insurance for 10 years now and have used it over that time. Our dog has needed 2 surgeries over that time. I request his medical records and invoice, submit them online and they are reviewed and paid in a few days. I really appreciate how quick they are processed.

Very disappointed with Figo.
Very disappointed with Figo. I purchased insurance for my pets expecting reliable support, but instead I’ve faced constant refusals and shifting explanations. 1. First denial: I was told that “the first month isn’t covered,” even though this was never clearly communicated at the time of purchase. 2. Second denial: They claimed that because my cat is not spayed, any health issue is automatically considered a consequence of that. 3. After that: Every single claim has been dismissed as a “pre‑existing condition,” regardless of the situation. The most absurd case was when my cat jumped off the couch, twisted her leg, and her paw became swollen. A simple injury that needed attention. Pet Claude refused the claim, stating that she “has cancer and they won’t cover it.” My cat has never been diagnosed with cancer. This was just another excuse not to provide coverage. This company seems focused on avoiding payouts rather than helping pets and their owners. Constant denials, contradictory explanations, and a complete lack of accountability. I do not recommend Figo.

Refuse Dental Claim
We insured our 8-year-old Shih Tzu, Bubble, with Trupanion for almost two years and had never made a claim. When Bubble needed dental surgery, Trupanion initially partially pre-approved the procedure, acknowledging that only one tooth was pre-existing and indicating the rest could be covered with proper documentation. After surgery, the vet confirmed that only one tooth was pre-existing and the other four extractions were new, medically necessary findings. Despite providing the paid invoice, proof of prior insurance cancellation, and veterinary confirmation, Trupanion reversed their position and denied the claim. What started as a partial approval turned into a total denial after the procedure was completed. For a first claim after nearly two years of coverage, this experience felt misleading and deeply disappointing. Will update if there are any changes to the situation but at the moment, I do not recommend trupanion for your pet, it has been a pain dealing with trupanion.

My experience so far has been nothing but positive. Claim was approved and paid in a very timely manner. I have had emergencies before I got insurance and that can be a nightmare. I’m at ease knowing my fur babies can get the care they need whenever they are sick or injured
