How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Legacy Animal Medical Center

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Experience

Ask whether the clinic has experience treating your specific type of pet, since care can vary between dogs, cats, and pocket pets.

Emergency Care Procedures

Thank you for all your help with my baby boy in his last year. Your staff helped me so much to understand heart murmur's and gave him the best chance with medication. He of course tried his best to stay with me but his heart couldn't do it. I wanted to thank Dr. Wolf for all her wonderful help and the other doctor who took over for her. You made haven his last days his best with me. I still plain on using you with my pet's because I know there in the best care.

Cheerful competent staff that are helpful whether boarding or seeing the vet. Dr. Emily Wynn is fantastic and has been caring for our two dogs for annual teeth cleaning and surgeries. Our dogs love these people and you will too!

July 7 2023 Things have changed after being happy with this clinic and staff I'm not so pleased. We've been loyal customers for about 4 years. Recently our pet had a ear infection I called to see if I could get her seen, this was something that was unexpected. I was told it would be 10 days before I could get in. But if you pay an additional $30.00 we then have a place for her today. The staff and vetenarians are great but management has gone to far. They need to hire more people not rip off their loyal customers!

I called yesterday because I have to have my dog put down. And the fees are insanely ridiculous. First I'm told she has to have an exam which is $87.00 and then the fee for euthanasia was $200.00. And if that wasn't bad enough I had to listen to the girl demand I cremate my pet and give me a horrible attitude when I refused. Now I can understand an exam being done for certain reasons, however my dog is 17 years old !!!! And she has been the most amazing dog anyone could ever have. And she sure as hell doesn't need her last day to be upsetting and scary. She is 17!!!!! How many dogs live that long anyways?? She has been with me almost her whole life. I found someone who will come to my home and take care of my dog and not torment her in the process All these Veterinarians who capitalize on grief with greed, well there is a special place in hell for you, I hope.

I’ve been taking my pups to Legacy for a number of years and never had a complaint. I recently had to put my beloved pup to rest and as hard as it was, they made the process as seamless as possible. The vet was compassionate and caring and assured me she would treat lowkees remains as if he were her own and I truly believe she did that. We received lowkees ashes much quicker than expected. The packaging was beautiful, the urn is beautiful. I cannot recommend this vet enough.
