Helping keep our puppy safe!
We lost our first puppy to sudden illness and it was heart breaking. It has been very reassuring to have MetLife insurance with our second dog. Our dog Sally was having stomach issues and we took her to get x-rays. MetLife covered a large portion of our costs and it’s very helpful in these tough economic times as a young adult! Knowing we will be covered for our Vet and emergency visits makes us and our puppy feel more protected. Thank you!

Healthy Paws is an amazing company!
Healthy Paws is an amazing company. Every claim I submit is handled within 2 days, and every explanation (EOB) is clear and accurate. Unfortunately, my pets have had some pretty severe illnesses, and nothing is ever questioned. They are very fair, and I cannot imagine making care decisions without Healthy Paws.

MetLife Pet Insurance Improper Claim Denial
I was just on the phone with one of their senior agents, Sue Ann. This is the fifth time I am calling on a claim that was originally submitted on 1/30/2026. After five weeks, they denied payment on an entirely legitimate claim totaling $2559.51 related to emergency pet care that was required as a result of a diagnosis of acute hemorrhagic gastroenteritis (HGE), the symptoms of which include extensive blood in the pet's stool. I am awaiting a call from Christi, who I was told would be calling me in 1-5 days. It is my sincere hope that your pets receive better care than this. The reason provided for denial of the claim was a clinical note referencing loose stool. Our dog is now more than 2.5 years old. Are they suggesting that her loose stool has finally caught up to her and that this condition could not have been brought on by perhaps one of a hundred other issues including something as simple as digestion of a stick? I understand that they are in the business of collecting premiums and not paying claims by erecting hurdles that they know a significant percentage of insured parties will not pursue (I'm not that guy), but this is absurd and a flagrant violation of the pact they have between pet owners and the company. Shame on the CEO Brian Jorgensen for fostering this type of culture. They will be hearing from me, consistently.

Great per insurance
It was easy to file a claim online. I would get emails every step of the way concerning the claim. When I called to obtain the insurance, the gentleman I spoke to was very friendly and helpful.

Made processing a claim difficult, covered 5% of the bill
I'll give them two stars for having a short waiting period before the policy is considered active, but legally they can't enforce a lengthy waiting period in my state anyway. I submitted a claim for one of my dog's bills that came out to $633. It was a nightmare processing the claim and it took over a month for them to send me a check for $36. The point of pet insurance is to make vet bills more affordable. Instead I'm just making pet insurance payments on top of paying the vet bills. I am canceling my policy and would not recommend Embrace to anyone.

I adopted my dog in 2024 from the humane society, street mutt. Vet report said he was healthy when I adopted him. Had him for a year and I saw he had a tooth that was starting to grey so I took them to the vet and they had it removed. Filed the claim and was denied cause supposedly a 2023 record somewhere showed he had some tooth build up. I have not adopted him yet but somehow I'm getting denied for a dog that was not in my life yet. This insurance is a big money grab, stay away.

Started off bad and ended great
Our inital experience was not great with Fetch. Our 3 year old dog suddenly died without any signs or symptoms. We contacted Fetch to cancel our policy and were not advised of any benefit for our dogs death and was not expecting one. We called our breeder to tell them of our dogs death and they advised us that Fetch had a Sudden Death clause in their policy. We contacted Fetch and were provided all necessary paperwork. We completed the paperwork and emailed them all attachments. Within days we received a denial of our claim. We contacted Fetch again (#3) and were advised that no one read all the attachments. Our claim was resubmitted. The next day we received another denial because they again, didn't read all the documents. Our 4th call went very well. Kaitlyn B was compassionate and very professional. She reviewed all of our documents and had a few additional questions. She assured me that our case was being expedited and we would hear back in a few days. Kaitlyn B advised that she would personally call us back to follow up this case. Within 2 hours we received an email that our claim was accepted and we would receive our entitled settlement. Kaitlyn called me back the next day to make sure I received the email. Kaitlyn B should be commended for her compassion, attention to detail, and her professionalism. She should be teaching others how to handle these situations. Thank you.
