Do not get Healthy Paws - They change your deductible and Copay after years of paying a premium
Do not get Healthy Paws. It felt like a bait and switched when my dog was going to turn 12. All these years I paid a premium to have a 10 percent copay with a 250 deductible. Every year they raise their rates a lot. But I was shocked when my renewal policy just came up and they said my new deductible was $500 and I have a 30 percent copay and they raised the rates. No other options. Very infuriating and I would NEVER recommend them as a result. Up until now they paid claims very fast and I rarely had issues other then the really raising rates a lot each year. I started at $33 a month and am now at $139 a months for a 30 pound dog.

I met my deductible for a condition and I submitted a claim for over $1k and Trupanion’s (large) portion of the payment was deposited into my bank account less than 24 hours later. This was a huge help because my dog needed more care and tests the next day. Submitting claims is easy and fast. I appreciate that there’s a free text portion that I think saves some back and forth.
