I had been with my previous insurance…
I had been with my previous insurance company for around 18 years, totally claim free and a model customer. My policy updated automatically and they would continue taking payments out of my account as usual, as they had done for many years. This year they sent me the renewal documents but neglected to take payments out of my account. I never received a phone call or anything from them, though I did receive a letter stating my insurance was cancelled while I was away on vacation - not receiving it until I arrived back home. Can you imagine the stress of that situation? It was a Saturday night and of course there were no insurance offices open and my home was left uninsured. Thank God, I found this company, what a lifesaver. I even received a discount for being a CFIB member and it was cheaper than my previous policy! After I got my insurance set up- I could easily go back and increase and change a few things. Easy breezy. The previous company will never get me back as a customer! I hope to never have to use my insurance policy, but I was able to sleep that night. On convenience alone they get top marks.

The claim was processed quickly but not…
The claim was processed quickly but not correctly. When the claims software scanned the receipt it interpreted the description the vet hospital used as a Wellness claim instead of an Illness claim that it actually was. I called the customer support phone and got an agent who quickly understood the issue and got it to an adjuster to reprocess it. The claim was reprocessed by the next day. All's well that ends well.

This company is not ethical or honest
This company is not ethical or honest. They have denied claims without honest justification. I have had to file appeals and won. The more I continue to work with Spot, the more burden and bust work they place on me. The claim process states that if medical records are needed, they will secure them from my vet. Now I am getting emails stating that I need to provide the medical records myself.
