How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Savannah Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Experience

Ask whether the clinic has experience treating your specific type of pet, since care can vary between dogs, cats, and pocket pets.

Emergency Care Procedures

It’s helpful to understand how the clinic handles after-hours emergencies, including whether they provide emergency services or refer to nearby emergency hospitals.

Communication Preferences

They show great care to their patients. No dog likes getting vaccines- the staff show great kindness and compassion-Toby still likes going!

We relocated from MD & Savannah Animal Hospital was recommended by our Vet at VMC in Easton. Nestlé was treated with kindness and the tenderness she needed to begin our new relationship with Dr Tsolakis. We had a very nice experience 🐾❤️🐾🥰

We were in from out of town and forgot our pets' prescription. This clinic went out of their way to fill the medication and kept in constant communication until it was filled. Kudos to the pharmacy tech who was kind, helpful and understanding of the situation. Would recommend to anyone in the area for their prompt service.

My cat was bitten by another one of my house cats. We took him to Savannah Animal Hospital because under other services it said Emergency Services. When we got there we were the only customers. One girl was taking our information and the other went to tell the technician. We she got back we were told they no longer provided emergency services and to take the cat to Dover Emergency Center. If they no longer provided emergency services, why didn’t the girls know. The technician didn’t even come out to look at the cat. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Poor Service.

Update...My concern has been addressed. Thank you for taking the time to review my issue with me and help me resolve it. I could be wrong, but no urgency unless they want to schedule an appointment. I have had a mix up with our pets medication for probably about a year now and its just one miscommunication or mix-up after another. Very frustrated.
