$6000 claim not paid. No explanation
Our puppy had a severe, life-threatening infection in August. We submitted $6000 of invoices, with full documentation. We received a reply to send them every ER visit, lab results, and regular Veterinary visits he had ever had (regardless if related or not). We confirmed they had the correct contact info for our vet, and confirmed that all records were available from them. Then nothing. I checked online today. They claim is closed. No payout. No contact, explanation, or communication from Figo. Be afraid. I am a (human) doctor and deal with insurance companies every day. This is not how they should work. Don't expect to get your money from Figo. Or an explanation. Or anything other than an excuse to not pay you. If they communicate with you at all.

OVERALL VERY GOOD!
I have to say that Pets Best has paid THOUSANDS of dollars worth of claims on behalf of my injury-prone and illness-prone dog. I thus give them a very high score. However, as others have noted claims processing is fairly slow. It usually takes around 30 days for reimbursement; sometimes 40 days. People reading this review should also note that wellness coverage by Pets Best (that is, annual physicals and preventative medications) is separately charged, and is not particularly comprehensive. So far I have chosen to pass on wellness coverage. In summary, Pets Best has covered EVERYTHING my vet has done/prescribed outside of wellness. I wish the company were a little faster in processing reimbursement. However, for my low monthly premium it's hard to complain too much.

Trupanion has the best insurance
Trupanion has the best and most comforting employees. In July we discovered our dog Mishka had cancer. We had only had the insurance for about eight months, but the policy we had paid 90% of all her bills. Customer Service were the most thoughtful and comforting people and made sure we were able to get Mishka the treatment she needed. I tell everyone I know about Trupanion's caring.
