Good choice of insurance
Just signed my two dogs up. The process was easy and I feel Furkin will be a good choice of Insurance for me and my boys.

Good Experience tricky start
Honestly, Embrace was a bit tricky at first to get used to, but this I have had to rely on the insurance so much and I wasn't blindsided nor was I ever led on. Truly enjoy my time with Embrace and I plan on adding all my pets to it

Trupanion - they don’t care about you or your pet
14 years, a single claim 14 years ago for which they covered less than my monthly payment for the coverage. Today I received this email from them. “We recently reviewed our data for pets in Newburyport, and we found that the average cost and use of veterinary care for Malteses in MA has increased. So, starting on July 18, 2023, we’ll be raising your monthly cost from $71.22 to $92.42.**” Imagine when I started I was paying less than $30/month and now that he’s old enough where he may actually need it, they jacked me. I canceled the policy today but that was likely their intent given his age. I got this as a response and I call "bull****." "please know that we'll never make changes to your cost due to your pup celebrating a birthday or getting older. Your concerns are important our team, and we're sorry to hear that you've decided to cancel your pet's medical coverage with us." If my concerns are important then why did the associate so quickly accept my cancellation? There was no attempt to negotiate or otherwise make it more tempting for me to remain a customer after 14 years with a single $30 claim, except talking to me about the deductible. Which is just another way for me to pay more up front for any claims for a lower monthly cost. Either way it's money out of my pocket. How about you show the customer that you want to keep them by apologizing for a sudden $21 / month increase to nearly $100 / month and negotiate your best price? Those of you with young pets, beware. The cost rises dramatically as your pet will age. And they'll tell that's not the reason...

Go elsewhere. Avoid the Gaslighting.
So far I feel that the company is a scam with the amount of reasons they try to find to not pay for the care of two very healthy 2 year old cats with one episode of vomiting and poor intake. They gaslight you into it being your fault that you are asking to get a bill covered despite paying their premium every month on time since the cats were barely 10 weeks old. Embrace your wallet and time because they will be sure to take a lot of both and make you feel like you purposefully made your cats sick and shame you for going to get routine care for them. Response to their reply: it’s an automated response that they copied and pasted from other users with similar issues. It doesn’t address specifically their denial.
