Submitted claim, everything was correct, still denied
POLICY NUMBER CAT0307773-01 Re: Your claim for $715.90 was not approved Rated negative stars. We submitted a claim because our cat got very suddenly sick with no preexisting condition. There was a ONE DAY DIFFERENCE in our claim so they denied us and wouldn't listen to reason. Upon further inspection on Social Media, we learned they actually scam people over this kind of thing, frequently. This rating is wildly incorrect and they should be shut down or regulated by someone who actually cares. We reviewed the policy and we were well within it, only to be met with immediate refusal. AND THEN they tried begging us to come back. How dare you. Edit to respond: IT WAS NOT PRE EXISTING! Get some reading comprehension, read above where it's says NOT PREEXISTING it even says it on the SOAP notes. What a horrifying business practice. I hope you go bankrupt.

My recent experience involves trying to contact you via email to weigh my options regarding a price increase. I never heard back from your company and instead had to call directly to inquire as to why my monthly rate increased so dramatically. You should not advertise that you will respond to emails if that is indeed not the truth. Yes, I am unhappy with the rise in rates to the extent that I am looking around for other options. Customer service is paramount to run a successful business with satisfied patrons!!!

Ease of claim!!
My youngest cat Hudson unfortunately passed away. We had a few vet expenses including his cremation. In less than a month the insurance claim was approved. The claim process was very easy. I am grateful to have chosen Metlife for my cats.

Mia was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer…
Mia was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer Sept 28, 2022. Needless to say we were devastated but knowing we had trupanion we soon realized we had an opportunity to give her the best chance of a longer happier life! Claims were fast easy and so stress free as we could focus on Mia and her illness from the chemo it was nice not to have to worry about the bills. I will always recommend Trupanion. Mia is in remission and is have a fun girl summer! Swimming and catching her ball and boating. I feel if we had not have had trupanion she may not be with us. I nearly cancelled it twice! But my intuition wouldn’t let me ! It’s well worth the premium and it was a long few months but we are done. Thank you

Thank you for your fast help in reimbursing me when I have a claim. Things are starting to get expensive with older dogs and getting reimbursed in a timely fashion is appreciated! I’ve had quite a few claims for my Max. It’s not just one claim I’m talking about!

Claim still not processed
I submitted 2 claims on 07/17. One was processed within a short time. The second claim was still NOT processed. I had followed up via email and received an email on 08/01 letting me know there is a delay in processing claims. Today is 08/10 and still has not heard a response.
