Embrace is the best
We just had to put down our amazing cockapoo - Lucy - after 10 years. She had a bunch of medical problems over the course of her life - including needing to undergo 5 major surgeries. She was admitted several times in the weeks before she was put down. Over the course of her life we relied on Embrace MANY times. Every interaction we had with them was excellent! We often needed to use up her entire $ 10,000 policy limits. We NEVER got any push back from Embrace. They reimbursed us quickly and without any jumping through hoops. There is no question we will use them again when we get another dog. They are TOP NOTCH!!!

Update: Much Improvement: (Original Review) No accuracy in claims processing
10/21/23: My pets (2) have been insured by Trupanion for over 10 years. They have become unable to process claims correctly. Their claims adjusters do not read claims, even when you clearly spell out to them in capital letters that the condition is NOT new. The consistently apply the deductible multiple times to the same condition. The most recent claim I submitted took 6 weeks to process. It takes an enormous amount of time, effort, energy, e-mails and phone calls to get them to process claims without errors. While their customer service reps are cheerful and chipper, this does not make up for the deterioration in their claims processing. Update, January 6, 2024: Mary C. contacted me the day after I submitted my review and did a top down review of my account, reprocessed a number of old claims, oversaw prompt processing of new claims and corrected some system errors as the cumbersome change to a new software system built in new errors. I was pleased with her genuine interest in my pets well-being and very happy with the improvements in claims processing and error-fixes. She was diligent in following up with me.

No email communication and no weekend phone communication. I would like to cancel my pet insurance as this isn't worth my monthly premiums. Unfortunately I work many hours during the week and this is something I would like to take care of on the weekend.

Easy and helpful
It's easy to upload a claim and though it takes awhile for the reimbursement at times. It's a great insurance and I am glad I have it since recent one of my dogs got diagnosed with diabetes. It's helps having help pay the funds for all his vet bills.
