Terrible Customer Service
This is borderline a scam -- the insurance portion is alright, but cancelling is a nightmare. The sales rep will do everything in their power to keep you on the insurance. I finally was able to cancel, only to have them reenroll me in another policy a year later? Customer service is pretty much nonexistent or during extremely inconvenient hours (for someone not on the east coast) and there's no way of getting in touch other than reaching out over phone (and being put on hold). Do not recommend, insure your pet with a more reliable and customer friendly insurance like MetLife instead.

Declined reimbursement
Declined to pay ER treatment required call to Pet Poison Helpline. Also eliminated for payment $430 for Emergency visit ($200 which was NOT an exam fee) & Inpatient Exam ($230.00). Believe they calculated Exam fee twice. Spoke to call center who refused to help. I pay a great deal monthly for this coverage & am not happy with these decisions. They seem to stretch restrictions to save corporation money instead of being compassionate regarding the issues facing the clients & their pets. Used to be a business who bent over backward to work with clients. No more. Will no longer recommend.

I can’t say enough good things about…
I can’t say enough good things about Healthy Paws! From the start, the entire process has been incredibly smooth and stress-free. Submitting a claim is super easy — you just snap a photo of the vet bill and upload it through their app or website. It literally takes less than a minute. What impressed me most was how quickly they process claims. I’ve had multiple instances where I received reimbursement within a few days of submitting — sometimes even faster. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing that not only is my pet covered, but that I won’t be waiting weeks to get reimbursed. Customer service is also top-notch. They’ve always been responsive and compassionate whenever I’ve had questions. Healthy Paws truly feels like a company that cares about pets and pet parents. If you’re on the fence about pet insurance, I highly recommend Healthy Paws. They’ve saved me thousands in vet bills and made the process painless every step of the way.

Mini dachshund loves Pets Best.
"I have a mini dachshund that encountered sudden rear leg mobility issues. Since they are prone to back issues, it was most likely IVDD or an FCE. Sent to neurologist, er, and ended up just needing months of meds, crate rest, and accupuncture. Pets best took over a month to process the initial claim, which was understandable that it was the first claim I filed with them and they probably needed to ensure the my dog had not had any prior issues. They sent emails to let me know they needed more information on my claim. After the initial claim processed, the continued care claims were processed within a week. Very happy with this insurance and the claims process. Payment was prompt, receipt broke down the payment in easily understandable language. If you have a dachshund, insurance is a must, along with the acupuncture plan. "
