PetsBest was phenomenal for our beloved…
PetsBest was phenomenal for our beloved dog Kiwi. Their customer service was efficient and friendly, live support gave us advice and peace of mind after hours, and their reimbursement process was simple and smooth. But most of all, having pet insurance meant anytime Kiwi got into mischief (8 plus times), or suffered life threatening emergencies (2), or needed a ligament repair in her old age, we didn’t have to hesitate. We could have those procedures, treatments, surgeries, and hospital stays for about 10% of the costs thanks to our 90% reimbursement elective. This enabled us to provide our pup Kiwi with the best medicinal care, and save her life when she was septic! We got a whole extra year with our elderly lady after that, and she got to enjoy one last cross country trip with us. We are thankful for PetsBest and I recommend them to all of my friends and family. As I have had two other pet insurance providers in the past, and they didn’t like to cover much and it was a stressful struggle. I didn’t have any of that stress with the team at Pets Best. Thank you from my family and Angel Kiwi for all your help over the years!

Claims processed quickly
Claims processed quickly. Not the same discounts applied to actual charges as with other pet insurance companies I have used in the past which is the reason I stay. The only reason I gave four instead of five stars is because there is a part of the claim process that is not clear. The claim was closed because they didn’t have all the documents and I was not notified, but because I have the app I was able to follow it closely and knew what was missing and handled it very quickly.

This company is a sham of all pet…
This company is a sham of all pet insurance companies! They are NOT associated with ASPCA, as they would not represent them to begin with. We had never used a pet insurance company before and unfortunately, we will not again. These people look for any excuse not to pay you for your pet's care. My advice, keep looking, reviews are gold, and I will be re-posting on all available sites. The uploading of the paperwork with their website software was horrible, and the communication. After multiple calls, and emails, someone there actually put it in for me. But that didn't stop there! Almost 4 months after a $2k+ vet bill, and after being misled 5 times over the phone, they felt we were only eligible for $145 and mind you we were paying $140 a month alone and dropped one of our pets after 2 months of miscommunication with this "company". I think the ASPCA needs to be aware of who is using their name!

Unreasonable premium increase
I luckily haven’t had to make any claims for our dog within her first year with us. She is perfectly healthy, but that didn’t stop our premium going up by 50% on the anniversary of starting her coverage. Mumbo jumbo excuses when I called…it’s where you live, it’s her breed (she’s a mutt), etc. Only option to decrease premium is to lower the coverage. At that point, I may as well go to another company.

Don't waste your money
I understand that insurance increases are based on many factors however 47% in a year for a policy holder that has only had yearly wellness claims is outrageous! Further while you boast a 100% coverage that amount covered is barely a factor of the real cost. I have canceled this policy and encourage existing policy holders and clients considering Pets Best to put your premium in a savings account for possible emergencies in your animals healthcare. You will be far better off.
