BEWARE OF NATIONWIDE - THE WORST!!!
I have had problems with Nationwide ever since I first signed up five years ago. My Pom had to have a surgery first year on her vulva and they would not pay a dime. I should have changed then. Now four years later I submitted a claim, then paid deductible which was most of the claim. The vet wanted me to come back in a month for a checkup and I submitted claim and they charged me with deductible all over again! WHAT????? WHAT A SCAM!!!!!!

Excellent experience with submitting my first 2 claims for my dog who went into an Addisonian Crisis and had to stay at the ER for 2 days, as well as for a follow up check up with her normal vet. The only weird thing I've seen so far is that "taxes and fees" are excluded from covered amounts, which seem strange, but I plan to follow up with ManyPets for clarification on this.

I have to dogs and have had MetLife for years . I sent in receipts and the amounts I spent and they claim it was out of the deadline for the claims . They said they tried to get hold of the people also for additional info with no response. I should be reimbursed for all my claims we’re talking about thousands of dollars !! More then over $3000 they only sent me $700 dollars and said they my main claims were denied because it was out of the to period . That was an excuse not to pay out my claim. I will be filing a lawsuit I have been paying for years . Over $200 a month .

Every claim has been denied and price has doubled
Is it nice to have a bit of peace of mind when it comes to the health of my pet? Sure. But ultimately, pet insurance has not been a great value to me. I signed my dog up for Trupanion at 12 weeks, after being encouraged by our vet. My dog is now 6. My dog is active but responsible - has never gotten into too much trouble, but we've had to bring him to the vet every so often for issues outside of his yearly check-up. Trupanion has denied every single claim we have submitted. Dealing with them has not been pleasant. Since joining, our monthly rate has skyrocketed from $23 a month to $45 a month. I repeat - I've never even been able to make a claim.
