They don't pay claims
They don't pay claims. They make excuses and it's just not worth paying over $400+ a month to get horrible customer service and lame excuses. I don't even think I can get into the situations with my animals. I understand I don't have wellness coverage, so they don't cover for vaccines and wellness visits. They take the invoice and store it in their system for each animal. However, they also don't cover visits medicine (when you pay for it) and for actual covered claims. They continue to indicate file on hold, until (it seems) you grow tired of trying to meet their requirements. I think I'm going to turn them into the insurance department and move on to another company. The BBB should also become involved in the issue. I actually have to visit my veterinarian to inquire about requests for SOAP notes. They just delay delay delay until time immemorial. Don't purchase this insurance, there are many others that don't behave in this manner. I should have stuck with Nationwide.

I have been very happy with Trupanion. Their customer service is great and the turn around time for reimbursements have been minimal. I have been with Trupanion for over 7 years and I have no complaints.

Stephanie was very helpful and knowledgable. I was with another pet insurance company that raised premiums every few months for the same pet. He’s getting older of course but we never used their insurance. I also understand increases but the frequency and large amounts I’m done with. Fingers crossed we stay healthy🤞🏼

Been a customer for years!
I’ve had ManyPets for years and they’ve saved me thousands, especially when my little one had an accident that caused him to lose his sight in one eye. They’re quick & responsive, and every customer service representative has been so nice and helpful. I just wish they still offered the 90% coverage option so I could sign my new pup up for the same plan my others are on.

The BEST customer service!
I was unsure with coverage and which company to use for my new Golden Doogle puppy! I called and the customer service I received was extraordinary! Everything was explained in Detail and all questions answer with the reassurance that Trupanion was the right choice for my new fur baby!

They have been quick about refund wellness credits however are being more difficult about getting claims resolved and reimbursed. Have submitted multiple claims and continue to say forms are not legible. They are very clear and legible.

No coverage for accident One year old dog labeled lame
I have a dog that is 1 year and had an accident after our policy was in place. Trupanion is not cooperating at all with many reasons that she has a genetic disorder which is not the case. They are not covering her for an accident and her leg injury. The dog is still a puppy and now Trupanion labels her “lame” Really false. I can’t recommend at all.
