Injury or illness, having ASCPA insurance makes the decision to treat much easier.
I have had ASPCA insurance for 2 years for my 5 year old German Shepherd mix. She is a rescue and most recently we found out she needed to have TPLO surgery. I feel that because we have the insurance it makes the decision easier to treat her when an injury or illness occurs. I like the choices ASPCA has as far as reimbursement percentage, deductible, and level of protection. The claims process is very good. I have had to call them twice, and both times spoke with a representative that was understanding, caring, concerned, and really wanted to help. Both times I found the answer and the help I was looking for.

The turnaround time is not good
The turnaround time is not good. My pet had an illness that was not remedied immediately and I had to put out all monies upfront. I would have liked the refunding to take place sooner in order to help with procedures.

Long wait time for coverage
Disappointed in the long wait time until coverage begins. I have a puppy and have already been to the vet and had to lay out if pocket because we are still waiting for coverage to begin.

I tried calling with a question
I tried calling with a question. I didn't know there was a 14 day grace period. My dog had to go to the ER the day I enrolled. I couldn't get a hold of anyone because the automated system said "we do not provide the insurance". Then who does? How can I get in contact with them?

Transparent, honest and lifesaving
I’ve always carried insurance on my pets and have been very disappointed in most of them until pumpkin. Very clear about coverage, not misleading, no sneaky loopholes to deny a claim. I am heartbroken my boy needs to utilize it and would prefer he was well with all my heart as he is my “child” but It’s been a lifesaver for me. I tell everyone I know about pumpkin Insurance.
