Customer service -no response

It seems like good insurance. But I have reached out to customer service three times since 7/28 with no response or acknowledgment. Makes me nervous for when I actually have to submit a claim

Huge Letdown in Service

If you don’t have prior 2 years of vet paperwork don’t bother; they won’t take your claims. There’s also a waiting period, and anything pre-existing is not covered. You are better off taking the money you would potentially give them and putting it into a savings account. I had originally signed up because my pet Oreo needed to go to the vet and I wanted to be able to cover what I thought would be a big vet bill as her leg was bothering her but then read the fine print and realized I couldn’t take her because it would be considered a “pre-existing condition” and even if I wanted to take her it would be a 15 day waiting period. Additionally, I had taken my cat Muffin for his annual checkup and tried to use the claims to get some money back as he had preventive care, but found out once I submitted the claim they couldn’t finish it without 2 years of vet paperwork prior (to prove an eye infection wasn’t previously existing, lol). I reached out to the company and got no response from the claims team, so I cancelled my coverage. The company should realize not everyone can afford to take their cat to their vet without insurance and should remove the restriction on not being able to resolve a claim unless you have prior vet paperwork and should make it clearer what you are signing up for when you sign up for their service. I will never use ASPCA again, and they have changed my views on pet insurance forever.

The enrollment process is very easy

The enrollment process is very easy, and the monthly rates are competitive with others in the market. Filing claims on the website is straight forward.

Don’t even bother

Don’t even bother, if you need to contact them about a claim 2 hour hold times, when you finally get a live person you get very generic answers from support and they will have an adjuster call you back. Never happened only email. If you have a pet that had ever been to the vet for anything more than regular vaccines don’t waste you’re money here they will find a way to blame everything that could happen on a “pre existing condition”

Poor customer service

Poor customer service. Not responsive at all. Not timely in responses. Have to nudge them so many times to finally give responses to claims. Very disappointed thus far. Would definitely go with another company in the future

What happened to good old fashion customer service in our country?

MetLife pet insurance is the worst. It takes forever to get paid on a claim. As soon as i get my money back I will be finding another pet insurance co. Their customer service is lacking, and it takes FOREVER for them to answer the phone. On two separate instances they have misplaced our claim and had to start all over. What's the most important thing about a pet insurance company? Reimbursement. They should be ashamed of themselves for taking almost 6 weeks to pay a $650.00 claim. Never again. NEVER AGAIN!!! They sure have the part about withdrawing from your bank account every month down to perfection.

Best decision I could have made!

ASPCA was the best choice I could have made for our family & our furry baby. The claims process has been seamless, the customer care exceptional & the security of knowing my baby is assisted for any health issues that arise is priceless. If you don't have pet insurance for your fur babies, GET IT! Selecting ASPCA will be one of, if not the, best choice you could make.

High pressure sales

I called to ask questions because I'm trying to decide 2 pet insurance companies. I did not like the high pressure sales tactics that I got from the salesman. He was trying to get me to decide immediately.

2 Pets…Same Service…Only 1 gets paid.

I’ve forwarded my claim for both of my pets for the same service. One is receiving a partial payment and not the other. I don’t understand.
