They make submitting a claim very easy, the cover almost everything. Our pet has had some illnesses and they have been great with helping cover the costs. I would highly recommend them!

Just like the other 1 star reviews say- they are prone to handing out preexisting conditions like candy. Literally any vet note they can find that isn't from a routine vaccination they will twist into being related to some sort of prexisting illness that the animal does not have. Also, as others have stated, communication is lacking and when you try to cancel they keep prying about why and try to get you to stay on by saying that an adjuster will call to talk to you and it doesn't happen. A great scam to collect money and not pay out.. I'll stick to care credit and credit cards in case of emergencies...

My dog recently had ACL surgery and the process to submit a claim was so easy and the staff was so helpful when needed that. I am so incredibly happy to have them as my pet insurance.And I will continue to keep my insurance active for my dog.

Bad Service
I have been with this pet insurance company for six years without any issues. However, when I signed up for coverage for my second dog, it turned into a nightmare. One representative repeatedly asked me for documentation that I didn't have because my dog was a rescue. My vet provided all the necessary documentation from the beginning, including SOAP notes, but they still claimed that they didn't have what they needed. By this time, I had been paying into the policy for 16 months, only to find out that the first two months of the new policy did not count. I was told that the two months I paid for were just a place marker - which was very frustrating. After numerous back-and-forth communications, I finally asked them to cancel the policy. Then, they apologized for the confusion but insisted on checking for further records despite my repeated statements through emails and phone calls. I would not recommend trusting this company. The hassle is not worth it. In the end, I switched to Spot pet insurance.

Complete scam
Complete scam. Such a terrible scam that they did not post my very thorough review explaining how terrible my experience is. They screen and scam. Save yourself the money and headache and don't buy trupanion. NOTE TO ALL PET OWNERS: make sure to tell your vet NEVER to use the word 'stiff' when describing something benign. Trupanion turns that word into a "pre-existing condition" and will forever deny anything related to that body part. My poor dog road in a bus in a crate for 4 days and then went to her new vet for a physical of which they said she was tense & stiff...not to mention petrified. Trupanion's loophole has forever cost me any future leg issue coverage even though there is nothing wrong with her leg. They'd prob deny her being hit by a car by somehow blaming it on random stiffness. TP also steals with our permission. I pay 90% coverage, yet it really covers nothing since they double dip with deductible language that pretty much eliminates any chance for a measly reimbursement. Don't buy this insurance. Whatever you do, don't think you are safe with them. Your mind will not be put at ease. You will actually stress out more. Customer service is also a joke. They start out nice for 5 minutes then tell you there is nothing they can do. Nor can their manager, or the next and the next. IT IS THE WORST - don't risk your sanity. Trupanion may or may not comment on this review. It will only be to deny in so many words and say it's too bad you're gone, we did everything we could. LIE. Love how they send you a follow up email to save you after cancellations with "what can we do". When they really won't do anything except charge more money for no real coverage.

Embrace is a trusting and caring pet insurance. They work with the customer to make situations get resolved. Constructive criticism would be emails answered in a timelier manner. I know they are busy with many customers, and I do understand but they will work with you on any issue.
