Best Coverage and Price Combination for Insurance
For our walk-on cat who rescued us, Rascally Romeo the Rocket (abandoned by unkind people who shall reap what they sow), MetLife is the best pet insurance that we could find. We made a study of pet insurance plans; and in an hour or less, the clear choice was MetLife Pet Insurance.

Spot has been great
Spot has been great. The monthly price isn’t bad either. I have my older pup on another pet insurance thru my employer and I pay less for better coverage thru Spot. Claims are paid quickly and so far they have been great.

Eh not surprised
Eh, you get what you pay for. $45 a month for major medical. I knew signing up they had limits per procedure but different areas like CA have higher prices compared to other areas like the Midwest. If you're doing research on pet insurance I'd suggest other companies. Just some references, emergency vet bill 3.5k, paid out 1.1k, MRI 2.9k paid out $300, neuro 6.8k paid out 1.9k. They do pay out fully on prescriptions and wellness care but for emergencies, the policy limits are very low.

If I could give Spot Insurance zero stars I would. I’ve filed 2 claims for my dog already and they keep denying the claim because they are requesting a note from my veterinarian, however they’re requesting a note from a veterinarian that my dog isn’t even seeing. The receipts I provided clearly show Affordable Animal Hospital as his veterinarian, but they keep requesting it from a different office called Riverdale Animal Hospital. They are a scam and I’m filing a chargeback with my bank tomorrow. Please get pet insurance for your dog elsewhere and save yourself the time and money. Steer clear!

Good customer service makes a difference
I considereal getting pet insurance for quite some time, and I looked in detail at many policies before selecting Spot. When I called to find out how to do my initial claim, I was very disappointed when the Spot representative told me I had to do it online through your website. At that time, my computer had just crashed. Needless to say, I was ready to cancel. Fortunately, when I called back I spoke with a different rep, and she was so positive and helpful. I completed the claim through the mail, and it was processed by Spot in good time. I now have no plan to cancel my pet insurance. I really appreciated the time that second representative took to help me. With her, Spot pet insurance has a valuable asset in customer service.
