Love them
We have had this insurance for over 3 years and it has proven invaluable. Our dog has eaten grapes, experienced liver issues, and generally needed annual care and Embrace makes filing your claim very easy and they have paid the claims within a few days (2-3).

Doubling rates after a year
I cancelled. Rate went WAY up. My premium for my illness/injury policy for my not yet 4-year-old dog went up from $45/month to $80/month! What!? I called to ask why the rate nearly doubled for such a young dog and no explanation was given. Seems like they get you in the door with low rates (in the $30s) and then raise it super quickly. Other companies offer much more reasonable rates.

Complete scam
Complete scam. You pay hundreds a year for a policy that covers virtually nothing. Stupid clause about dental that requires you to endanger your pet and put them through unnecessary anesthesia in order for periodontal disease care to be covered. Wish I could get back every dime I've given them.

Very good basic pet insurance
Expensive but not beyond the norm for other private pet insurance companies. One claim denied due to effective date. Second claim paid as agreed and very speedy direct deposit. Net coverage about 50% and saved us several hundred dollars. Good customer service via email. If I could do it over I’d add the maintenance portion covering annual exams, vaccines, dental care and such, instead of just illness and injuries.
