We like it

I like embrace overall. Was recommended to me by a friend who is a vet tech. Prices are very reasonable with ability to customize your plan in a way that works for you. Claims filing and reimbursement process is extremely quick and easy. Would recommend

A worthy benefit

I have two precious four-legged babies that have their fair share of health challenges. My Pomeranian was diagnosed with pancreatic disease and my Shepherd has severe allergies. Nationwide insurance was an benefit option through my company that provides employees with some discount in pricing. I have top of the line coverage of 90% reimbursement with a annual $250 deductible. Nationwide is very timely and fair in working with the veterinarian on any diagnosis and providing my reimbursements without any disputes or delays. Like most pet insurance, as long as your furry baby did not have a preexisting condition before taking out the insurance, the plan I have covers a lot of insurance benefits. I gave it a 4 star overall due to the pricing. Due to my furry babies turning 10 in 2024, my annual amounts increased drastically which was a culture shock to my wallet.

Embrace representatives were very…

Embrace representatives were very helpful, especially during a difficult time for us. One of our dogs passed away recently, and the Embrace team worked through the claim process with the vets.

THESE PEOPLE ARE THIEVES! DO NOT SIGN UP!

I got insurance for my cat and suddenly he started feeling sick. Took him to the vet, and I came to find out he has kidney failure these people categorized it as a pre-existing condition, which is not the case because I just found out about it! I took them almost 1 month to review a claim and had I wanted to dispute their decision was going to take them 90 days to answer. I simply canceled the policy. I FEEL STIFLED! What do i have insurance if it is to no good! Crooks! really.....PUT YOUR $$$ ELSEWHERE

They’re for you when you need help.

Without this insurance I may not have been able to afford the help my pet needed.

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible, make you file a claim to get reimbursed so everything comes out of pocket initially but then they make it very difficult to reimburse you, even for the most basic of services, they wanted medical records for our pup when he wasn’t even born yet. These guys suck.

An existing policy holder trying to…

An existing policy holder trying to sort out my renewal and cannot get through to the team on the phone (number 27 in queue) or by email (tried 5x times now). Really disheartening as I haven’t had too bad of an experience until now.

Penelope Insurance

I have 4 cats and pay for my daughter's 2 dogs. The monthly premium is about $200. I have a senior Cat who is not insured due to his age. He was 8yrs. when he had cancer surgery just above his eye. That was insured. He now has kidney disease that is treated with a prescription diet. To diagnose this, a blood panel was required. That invoice was $1500. His treatment is prescription food. He has been given 3 years. In my own deceased 2 dogs, one had diabetes, requiring insulin and both had chronic bowel inflammation that required prescription food and they both had recurring eye injuries. One had knee surgery on each leg. I remember that was three to four thousand. They were both insured. The co-insurance was 20% and the deductible was $100. I paid approximately $80 per month for both. Now I have 3 cats' premiums. Now deductibles start at $200. My daughter's dog is allergic to chicken, and the other's liver requires prescription food temporarily. He just became blind. I have probably missed something. I had other cats that were euthanized due to extreme illness even though they were insured. However, they were diagnosed and had surgery. Our insurer also covered euthanism costs. My husband and I loved them all and it is painful to lose a pet but we never let them die because we couldn't afford to treat them. You must consider when you adopt an animal that you will require insuring them. Don't think that your animal will never be sick. You are gambling with their life. And reconsider having multiple pets. An average premium can be $45/month.
